These figures, I feel would benefit from having swappable heads and I don’t mean it’s probably head that you have to buy another whole figure for. Having a regular possibly smiley face head and the heat vision head. Definitely add more playability to the figure

We'd have to pay $40 each for that. I'd do it; but I do also enjoy the ease of affordable; easy accessible, etc.

@@tmoore2010 marvel legends does it at a better scale and doesn't price 40 for an extra head. Mcfarlane being the dark age comic hack is just somehow more greedy with than hasbro when it comes to accessories. Stop defending Mcfarlane

I would've liked the figure to have the cape that connects around his shoulders. It gives the design a sleek elegance to the character. But for articulation around the shoulders and arms I totally get why McFarlane didn't do that. If it were me, I would've had a removeable cape and a flight stand for some great action shots.

Thanks for a great review Brad! I had little interest in the figure before but now I think I could use him after all in my collection... or at least his head on Superboy Prime. Much apricate the content especially little touches like this that changed my mind. Keep up the good work.

Mcfarlane just goes absolutely crazy on the lipstick 💄

Genuinely surprised at how great that head looks on the Superboy Prime body. I couldn't quite figure out why the head looked so bad on the original body, but now I see that it's the thickness of the neck. That jawline fits way better on a thicker neck.

excellent review .. you are the best review for DC on this channel by far !! Ive started collecting DC multiverse after watching your informative reviews, and between marvel legends and dc multiverse, i think mcfarlane does better more detailed sculpts overall and more paint and one example is the new Man-bat.. absolutely fantastic piece! a definite pick up for sure!

Where did you get the superman with the working bicep?

I use the jon kent head skulp on Spawn's Redeemer body it's perfect, especially with the eyes they go well.

Theres a lot of aspects to this figure I like. But it's less I like them in relation to Jon Kent and more in what they remind me of. Lot if the body makes me think of Miracle Man or particularly the DCC Jae Lee new 52 Superman which has been my primary display Supes for years at this point and I'd love a heavily articulated version. This body and that head sculpt are very reminiscent of that. I think more than anything, me having no real connection to the character makes my imagination wander with enjoying making stuff up and playing with it. I've always liked the idea of a more trim and alien looking superman

The head sculpt does not capture the character. It might be accurate in a panel or two, but it does not capture the character. Jon is very warm hearted and loving. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to this figure. Damian Robin will just have to wait longer for his world's finest partner.

He kinda reminds me of Gohan from DBZ. I dunno why.

I want this figure mainly for custom/kitbash/parts swap reasons.

What is that line at the top of his chest when you ned him back?

Super sons look. Or the look he had for legion of superheroes would have been what I preferred but this is cool.

Great review! The original head looks terrible to me. I don't like what they've done with the character (especially aging him up), so this is an easy pass for me.

Sadly mine has many issues. It didn't come with a stand, the butterfly joints are stuck, and his right arm pops off easily

I will only buy this figure if it comes out with another head!

Yeaaa, i just my got my Jonathan Kent's Superman today and i found my left bicep swivel on the figure is painted shut

I'm a huge McFarlane DC multiverse fan... But I was very disappointed by this figure. My first one broke at his bicep right out of the box... When I got a replacement the wrist broke just as easily... I had to Frankenstein the two figures together to put it on my shelf...

I did a repaint with metal Gundam markers for the suit

I feel like they’ll make another Jon Kent because of dark crisis

My only issue is the skintone and the dark lips make him look odd. I do actually like the heat vision eyes, but yeah.
