I feel McFarlane should have just done 5 inch figures and everything would have looked better for the 66 Batman series

I kinda like the bigger figures tbh. I feel 5 inches are too small

I was just going to post the same thing. If these were 5 inches or even 5 1/2 they would fit in really well.

5 inch figures would have been better for scale wise but I’d rather have had the play set made in a slightly bigger scale rather than have smaller figures. Should have also made the figures feet poseable as well to beable to stand in different poses. I love the the set tho cause it’s retro and brings back great memories. Would be awesome for mcfarlane to make more characters for this play set .

I like the 7 inch scale better!

Then us 6 inch collectors would be screwed.
McFarlane needs to make "stately Wayne Manor", that sits above the Batcave, complete with sliding bookcase in Bruce's den, with access to the Batpoles, via the Shakespeare bust.

They have now announced one :)
If people are put off of this play set due to the scale, then they don’t understand the rationale by which this play set is partially based. It’s basically a homage to the way toys were designed back in the late ‘60’s - ‘70’s. Designed for fun and playability. Not that the manufacturer thinks adult collectors intend to play with them. This is a throw-back design, so collectors will get that same giddy feeling when they first saw those super-hero sets on the shelves of their favorite toy store and asked for one for Christmas. At least that’s the way I see them, and I think McFarlane managed to capture the idea fairly well.
It’s really nice to see that we still get new play sets.
Love this playset got it for £12.99 and it’s great for 3.75 not so much 6”
Got this to go with my spin master batcave. Seems to go well with it.
Brad, the set has alot going for it details and the concept was sound. Scale is one thing that eludes MT. Most of the 80s toys matched their own line. Subsequent. releases fair pretty good also. The convenience of the computer storage was simple but fitting. Colors are nice. Today's kids definitely have it different, in theory they have the whole world at their finger tips. Exploring and imagination is like a muscle that has atrophied. BAM!Boop Beep😉
Hi Brad I absolutely love your videos and your passion for DC. Thanks for always being so entertaining. I have all of these and just got the batmobile. Love them
I think. that McFarland build the Batcave Diorama small in scale than the larger Figures. Rather was due to cost, just imagine what the cost would be, if the Batcave was as large as the figure. More plastic and design development, more sculpting and marketing. A consumer would have to pay three times more to purchase it for a child's toy, a adult collector that's different. At any rate, having a Batcave Diorama for different scale figure is fantastic. The Mezco 3.75" Classic TV Series Batman Deluxe, matches the scale. I enjoyed you commentary.
Fantastic video! Super excited to get this and the Batmobile now that I know they are in-scale with my Super Powers figures. Love it. I also really like the fact that all the little cabinets and computers come with the stickers already attached. There's nothing worse than applying one of those things off-center, or tearing one, or whatever (LEGO is particularly bad like that). McFarlane did the heavy-lifting for us on this one. Good stuff.
Thank you for showing the Super Powers figures in there, Batman and Robin looked great in the cave and Batmobile!
Hilarious review. Brought batcave yesterday and it displays the 1:18 scale diecast Batmobile very well. Definitely a great purchase.
This is a lot of fun. It makes me wish they'd do more playset stuff, and I do think that considerations that helped make boxing it make sense also mean that storing this should be good for people who don't want to always have their playsets out.
Good review. I may just pick this up and use it for the Super Powers figures as you demonstrated.
This set has the same issue as the Lego Classic Batman set: Lose parts here and there makes an incomplete look. We want a WHOLE cave, remember Boulder Hill from MASK?? We want one big set where everything is attached to it! A BIG set that is playable and also for display.
Brad i love your channel
Looks awesome would of loved this a kid in the 80s set definitely belongs to a 3.75 to 4” figures.
Thanks for the review 👍
Have you gotten your hands on the new Spin Master 33" Batman turn into the Batcave playset yet? I ordered mine on Toys R Us website since I couldn't find it anywhere else.
I like it has so much options to display with Mcfarlene and Kenner Super Powers which i own both
I can't seem to find out how tall the back is in inches, can you help?
But the 3.75 fig and the set do the fit ?
I don’t collect McFarlane but the Batman 66 line looks like it’s a ton of fun.
All of todd's batmans are i the toy isle and the electronc section with spawn, and im happy to see they are finly getting neca alien toys at walmart.
Nice episode, informative as always, and humorous. The Super Powers figures are 4.5" scale or something like that?

Yeah, something like that. I've never actually measured them though. Thanks!
Kinda wish someone would do a comparison with this and the Mattel 66 Batcomputer they put out. Also one of the many iterations of the Batcave command center playset from Kenner.

I don't have any of those unfortunately. I never did manage to snag the Mattel Batcomputer. The only other Batcave I ever had was the ToyBiz 89. Good idea though.

@@BradTheDCUniverseGeek Oh Man, those Wayne Manor/Batcaves were awesome. Its no wonder they kept rereleasing it about a dozen times. Surprised Todd hasn't put you on his mailing list yet, no one is doing a better job reviewing DC products than you.
Mine arrived yesterday. Yeah, it’s not 100% to scale, but it’s certainly big enough. And all put together, it still looks awesome.
This seems like the perfect scale for my Funko and Mezco 3.75" figures!
It's weird that one batcomputer that looks like a desk has a modern keyboard on the desk. Everything else looks 60's tv accurate, but that one thing looks 90's Macintosh.
Way to small for 6inch figures but perfect for the funko 3.75 inches Batman Classic TV Series. Great playset and thanks for the video
Where is the 5 points set from Mezco?
That is cool as I put my super friends in the batmobile as well
Perfect scale for the mezco batman 66 figs
Found this today at target! Now i have the batmobile batman joker robin and unmasked robin 😁
this is perfect for the 5POA batman 66 set...almost as if it were made for that (smaller) scale...
Maybe Todd should have made smaller figures.... I've got those S-P figures... and I think they'll do...!!
I grabbed one.. along with batman, robin and joker.. its def cheapish.. but it looks good... i passed on there batmobile tho and i have the mattel batmobile and i put them in there instead.. looks soo much better.
Robin was a bit large, but he wasn't in charge. The ladies might tell a different story though!
thank you for remembering to put the super powers batman and robin in the batmobile I had a feeling the would fit pretty well that means it should also fit the 89 Kenner batman as well. Very cool play set you can do allot with perspective with it or got have in in book case display and let shadow help with scale plus it cool the play set with the super powers . I wish I had these back in the 80's.

@@BradTheDCUniverseGeek thank you again
Probably better suited for Spinmaster small figures.
Spin Master Scale?
McFarlane should do a Hall of Justice or Fortress of Solitude Playset! The Flash Museum would also be cool.

I meant your content..... sorry!
I was going to get Batman last week but they all had warped ears, uneven batsymbol and a sloppy belt. If I see a better one I'll get but its a little disappointing. Its reminds me of the Missions figures from Mattel a couple years bakc except I think Mattel had better paint apps and cape.
@BradTheDCUniverseGeek
2 жыл бұрын
I cut say much for the belts but the ears problem is a packaging thing. Just warm up the plastic and they go back to their proper shape.
sweet lookin , but WAY more do-able with a 4 " line , as you CLEARLY proved. Great car & cave for my O.S. Pocket hero stuff.
It is both a good thing and a bad thing to know that the McFarlane Toys Batman classic TV series Batcave is out of scale for his own Batman and Robin action figures yet it is fine for the Super Powers Collection action figures. Since I have the Super Powers Collection action figures of Batman and Robin already I will be fine with it when it is available in the United States.
Somebody give Toddy a ruler so he can figure out how to scale things. The figures are too big for the batmobile and the batmobile is too big for the batcave. But I have a plan. I am putting my McF figures with my Mattel batmobile. Then I bought the Mezco 5 points 1966 set. I think that should fit perfectly with this playset because I already tested this with the Funko 3.75 retro figures and it looks great. I just remembered you have a Funko batman figure, brad. You should check it out with the playset.

His interview with Shartimus gave away early on he doesn't grasp scales well, so this line being all over the place didn't surprise me sadly.
Nice. Still waiting to see these 66Batman line in our local Walmart

How do they fit with SpinMasters? Are SM too small?

Spin Master are 4 inch scale. They are too small for the Batmobile but may fit with the playset.

Yes but get a small batmobile and it's still okay for this playset.
I just bought it!
Nice
It’s really cool 😎 but I have to pass on it because I have no room for it in my display
Perfect for Funko Batman 66 or Mezco 5 points.
Damn! Now I gotta track down some Super-Powers figures for sure

You should check out the mezco batman 66 figs. 👌
The batcave to me looks ok in scale. The batmobile isnt. I hope we get the rogues villians and an alfred figure. A batcycle would also be cool!
What store did you buy it from?

Walmart. The same one I found the figures and Batmobile in the first time.

Someone has to modify this with blinking led's
I will buy it soon as batcave diorama for six inches figures.

I changed my figures in three inches
I own the figures and the Car.........*BUT* this video convinced me not to buy the playset. It's way too small and out of scale! 🥴
Certainly better than the lazy Mattel and Mezco efforts at least.
Excellent review and a great playset!!! God bless!
Maybe this will scale with Mattel 66 Batman
@louiesbatcave5581

The Mattel one is too big for it. I have a 1/18 scale Jada Batmobile on display with it and I think that's a perfect scale, it makes the cave look huge but not out of scale
Putting aside comments like "MacFarlane once again proving he doesn't understand scales". This set definitely had Kenner vibes before you even brought out the Super Powers figures.
Try even more figures with it.
Nope nope nope Todd's not getting any more cheddar lol
Thanks for saving me some $. Mattel did it better 10 years ago. The bat mobile was better too.
