Any fast food cook or restaurant line cook can appreciate the buzz of plowing through a rush. I worked as a cook in college and went on to do IT as a career, but no job ever matched the satisfaction of a busy shift with a great staff of cooks.

Yeah if you have the right staff and personality in the kitchen with you , unfortunately in my work environment at Wetherspoons kitchen some of the staff cannot be bothered and don’t listen and moan when it gets busy or we have rushes

Would have been at least three times as long if they did them with the sauce, onion and pickle. It's pretty easy to just smash out meat + chesse (as long as you have someone continuously cooking the meat).
Really like the friendly and fun atmosphere you guys keep it there. Makes work a lot more enjoyable when you can joke around a bit and have some fun with your co-workers/employees.

surprise they would have the stuff to do 1000 otherwise. figure they order enough supplies to last until next truck
I would love to see what the grill was doing during this. Completely covered in patties the whole time, no doubt. I've wondered what it would take to run a McDonalds out of beef patties, buns, cheese or anything else at any given time, without any forewarning. They most likely had knowledge of this order days in advance.
@StanHowse
6 ай бұрын
It would take the Truck not showing up, Twice.. You can come an order 200 burgers, that's only about 1 box. We keep at least 10 boxes on hand. (and only get down to about 2 or 3 before the Truck comes in the middle of the Night 2-4am) Obviously it varies with Location, but they're set-up for the most part to not "run-out" of anything, almost no matter what... Or I guess the Freezer could go, but that's fixed almost immediately if that were to happen. (also, as per McD policy, we can only cook 6 patties per grill face, used to be 9, then 8, now 6. (Most grills have 2, maybe 3 faces. Grills never changed once, just the "policy")

Keep up the great work Stephen and your Mickey D's staff! I worked at a Wendy's for 2 years as my first job at just 16 years old while in high school or 21 years ago. Back then Junior Bacon Cheeseburgers were only 99 cents a sandwich. We had a school bus pull in one day I was working on the sandwich making line. Each child on the bus (about 100) ordered 5 burgers. It was hectic but we all kept it together as a team and got all our customers happy and taken care of. :)
An undeniable effort from the most remarkable McDonald's youtuber of are times , He manages to pull off something no one has ever pulled off before, He handles that order like a pro, which is definitely saying something about how much time he puts into not only his videos but also his job as one of the managers at his McDonald's, I haven't seen any other person handle such large scale order of cheeseburgers before, Stephen Patula puts so much hard work into his videos that the moment you turn on a video, you just have to pause and take a second to just appreciate how great his channel is, and from that moment alone, you can't turn it off , Another Spectacular Video Stephen, Another sub from me

Reminds me of when I worked at McDonalds during McHappy Day. We made about 200 of each breakfast sandwich including the newer ones like the Chicken McMuffin and Egg McMuffin BLTs (I don't remember if there was anything else new). But yeah it was for the local emergency services. Whatever wasn't eaten was then given to the homeless. It's rather stressful when you also have regular orders coming in as well. It was handled well here :D
Thank you for making such amazing food for all the people

Stephen - do you know anything about the softer buns and meltier cheese for Big Macs, cheeseburgers, hamburgers, double cheeseburgers and mcdoubles? They appear to be testing this - and there was an article today saying these thing are coming.
@thephantom6408
Жыл бұрын
This is definitely a thing, so reg (cheeseburgers etc) are little smaller to help with the burger to bun size and both reg and mac buns have more sugar in them. We have also started new prep procedures for basically everything, pulling frozen items out less making items more fresh, cheese now tempers for an hour before we can use it although if busy enough it might not actually get to that hour point unfortunately. Onions the ones for the 10-1 meat are now staged in shakers and put onto the meat as it is on the grill supposedly for juicier and tastier meat, we're also only allowed 6 pieces in a tray as opposed to 8 and the UHC holding time has gone down and probably a few other things I am forgetting. The idea I guess is to make items more fresh across the board. It's called "best burger" among the upper supervisors. It's crazy that Stephen hasn't talked about it tbh since it is an enormous change from how 90% of us have been trained and doing for years.

Getting so hungry watching this🍔🍔🍔
In High School in the late 70's I worked at Hardee's in Norman, OK. On OU game days I was the main cook on the Charbroiled grill, with 2 4x5 area grill space to work with and I would have every bit of that area full with cooking burgers. This would go nonstop for around 3 to 4 hours! I did this for many of the game weekends since I was the fastest and as well making sure the beef was fully cooked. It was insane, the lobby would be full going out the door, I kid you not.
You and your team have a great system going.
