@@heeelion134 Hyman and draisaitl are different animals you can't compare. Drai is making the plays, is carrying the team and is making all the guys around him better player and goal scorer. He is a absolut world class player and McDavid named him many times the BEST (!) player of the world. Hyman is a excellent gal scorer, a top skater and a true teammate. He brings the goal after great plays of the elite guys and he us never dissapointing the crowd. And for all he is a very sympathic sportsman! And you are right, he is a deal for the Oilers! But Hyman shows how bad the leafs offensive guys are - there he didn't know score as well as in edmonton. The team of the leafs doesn't work together, it's the show of some overpaid jerks who fail if it counts. Hyman got the teammates he needs to for the scoring in edmonton, I'm sure he is extremely happy about this!

To be fair, missing the McDavid call and then forcing Hughes off to tend to the injury McDavid caused? Kind of understandable. If McDavid was slough footed and missed time here, Oilers fans would have been bitching too. I hope either Florida or the Rangers (calling it early maybe, don't care) win the Cup. And hey, if none of the insufferable Canadian teams are in the Final? Wouldn't bother me a bit.

Canucks got dominated in the third but it was a pretty even first two. Also the only line providing offense is that D & McD line. Canucks have had depth scoring from all over. The line carried them in this must win sure but eventually they'll need contributions from other players. Also I'd be a bit concerned that Pettersson finally scored. He's still not in dominant form but looking more dangerous. Special teams were also a wash tonight at 1 goal each. If Vancouver can continue to stay out of the box and continue to get depth scoring I think that balanced line-up will eventually overcome the dynamic duo. Anyway this series is a long way from over.

On the bench getting his scratch rewashed ???? I know you put a "C" on his chest and in most circles that stands for Conscience, Courage and Character... if so give a small "c" to Garland for Character, give a small "c" to Cole for Courage, and another small "c" to Millar he has a Conscience to give all for the fans and teammates for what he receives in compensation. Anybody else notice that the big Oaf that scores a weak goal never comes past the Oilers blue line if Deharnais is on ice..... Guess he just likes to crosscheck smaller players..... Hope before the end of series Knoblauch skates Deharnais on right wing for a few shifts against Zadorov. That Clown needs to meet him face to face .... needs an adjustment

I know it went into OT but man Skinner has to have that Nikita Z shot from there. Great tip goal from far out, no chance. There were barely any shots in regular time. Oil pushed late but it was note even close 15-2 in the 3rd. Huge win, kept coming back, forwards were skating back a lot faster than others. It’s a really bad look for Skinner to let in three goals versus 12 shots I think it was. That can’t happen.and we should shell shocking the Canucks goalie. He’s there third string! Vancouver will be a much more dangerous team in G3, because of this loss. Just as EDM picked up their play due to the way they lost G1, VAN will do the same in G3. Edmonton better be ready to hold off an assault, because I have a feeling, that's what they're going to face, at least through the first period, as VAN will want to take control of the game early.

@LDJ89 the same can be said if they both wint the Cup too. If they win the cup their value increases even higher than it was before. So why stay? They would likely stay because of the community and their team. Why have Malkin and Crosby stayed together all these years? They had some okay runs, and eventually got some cup wins, but it definitely took time for their window to open and the team to mature, and they certainly weren't successful in the playoffs every season. The Oilers just started their window and it's only been 2 years since the team has matued and been ready.

Canucks in 6 or 7, unless their goaltending really shits the bed. The Canucks are much more rounded than the Oilers. Canucks have depth which will carry them. Oilers are Leafs Lite.

Doesnt look like that is going to happen though. Played defense the entire game pretty much and that was at home. Now, most likely, they will lose 2 games in Edmonton. I am not seeing how they recover from the eventual 3-1 hole.

Can the Oilers win the Cup with just one line? After game 2, seems pretty likely if they have any hope. Canucks weren't the best team offensively this season, and they're missing their best defensive option. Nothing against Silovs, he won a game he could have lost and almost won the Canucks a game they had no business being in. But he's not better than Demko and that's the biggest thing Nashville did to wear them down. Skinner needs to be tested, Oilers need depth scoring, and the Canucks need their defense to just play better.

One lucky bounce from Cole made a difference in this game ) Skinner SV % = .842 in game 2, game , in game 1 it was = .792 bad and very bad The Oilers have one good line with McDavid and some good players, and it's not their goalie Skinner 😂or the $9 million Nurse.🤑 statistics don't lie: overpaid lazy Nurse during regular season had only ( + 3 ) compare to Ekholm ( + 44 ), postseason Nurse ( - 5 ), Ekholm ( + 4 )

Best on the ice for the Oilers definitely the Referees. Disgusting calls not made on the Nurse boarding on Petterson and the High stick on Hughes by McDumbface, who also had another foul not called on him when he crosschecked a player in the back soon after the Hughes foul.
