Thanks so much Andra. I am really pleased with the pattern mixing. 😀
your dress turned out so cute! i second the rec to sew buttons on with your machine. i almost always use that feature unless i only have one button to sew. it saves so much time.

Thanks, Sarah! I used to have a machine with a button foot, but that was a long time ago. I'll have see about getting a button sewing foot for my new machine. 😊
I love this pattern and can’t wait to try it. I ordered the Style Arc pattern called Belle Woven, and it is practically the same dress.

I saw that dress from Style Arc and was tempted to get it,but I had already bought the McCall's pattern. You will love this dress!🥰 👗
Thanks for your pattern review Becky. I am so glad you were able to find the fabrics to create your version of the inspiration photo! I really liked your method of finishing the sleeve keyhole opening! I don’t know if you’ve tried this before, but if I have to sew a lot of buttons on I like to use my machine. You just need a button foot and a zigzag stitch. For my son’s 100th day of school in kindergarten I sewed 100 buttons on a t-shirt for him to wear. No way would I have done that without using my machine! 🤣

Thank you! Yes, I have sewn buttons on with my old sewing machine. I don't think my newest machine has a button foot, but I will look into getting one.😉

@@GoSewBeautifulIf your new machine has snap on feet, you don’t really need a special foot. Just select the button sewing program, remove the foot, and use the “ankle” that is remaining. Lower it onto the button, (mine positions towards the rear of the buttons), align with the holes and sew away. I actually prefer this way, because it is easier for me to see the holes in the buttons.
Great solution for that pesky keyhole on the sleeve.👍
