I love les mis more than anything, i adore the show and have cried for hours over it in the past. I cannot think of a bigger bummer for a childrens birthday party theme.

Listen y'all. I was a theater kid. I did community theater and school plays. So I GET it. But I am still confounded, utterly befuddled, every time i learn that historical dramas like Phantom of the Opera and Les Mis still have massive fandoms amongst young people. Y'all... those are the boring ones!! You know there are good plays too, right??

they arent the boring ones bc the music is catchy, idk. i think les mis in particular is more interesting than poto bc of the symmetry of the music. also it covers so many aspects of life, where poto is very... sheltered? for a lack of better words. but the music is fantastic, idc andrew lloyd weber is good at writing music hah
