I'm almost positive it's a typo - 011 0100 comes out as the character 4, but 0110 0100 comes out as a lowercase t. In ASCII encoding, letters follow a very simple pattern: "A" is 0100 0001, "B" is 0100 0010, and so on. "a" is 0110 0001, and "b" is 0110 0010. The first four digits show whether the letter is capital or not, and the last four show which letter it is by its position in the English alphabet. It's a really awesome system, worked out by some very smart folks!
