MBMBaM 448: Bird Words
Комедия
This episode features some of the narrowest narrow-casting yet recorded in human history, which is to say: If you’ve got a science report about Birds due at school tomorrow morning, we’ve absolutely got you on this one.
Suggested talking points: Justin’s Soundboard, Snowblower Preferences, Hot Grapes?, Eight Paper Towel Rolls, Moist Magazines, AI Taxi, 50 Avian Descriptors

I love how many times Justin said "Not an adjective" "That's a noun" "That one isn't an adjective" "You guys don't know what adjectives are..."
I had a manager that used to cook his raw steak by microwaving it and eating it like that. I'm honestly surprised it didn't kill him.

I just want to say, the point about Jeff Goldblum casually eating some hot grapes. I have been watching a streamer who was just sitting there eating oranges like an apple. Skin and all, just casually chomping down. It really threw me.

But also, it's Jeff Goldblum, and everything he does is abnormal, so I feel like if I saw him eating hot grapes, it would be chill, but like, if that were your average celebrity, it would be very very not chill.

The ceiling on Justin's soundboard potential is non existent
I decided, bc of this video and the animation which ive rewatched too many times, to try: heating and eating grapes. I microwaved a few of them in a little water for 10 sec at a time. they *taste* the same but *feel* wrong in your mouth. like the sensation of hot grapes in your mouth feels like youve just done something... wrong, they also dont heat evenly with that method but i felt it was the safest way to microwave grapes without mini explosions or destroyed microwaves.

The sheer rage emanating from Griffin in the fruit section
"These are the lowest quality audio files I have ever heard in my entire fucking life." *ba-dum-tss!* There's something to this rimshot. It did make it a funny joke.
When they asked who the coolest celebrity they could think of I also thought Jeff Goldblum and I can see him doing that 100%. He and his first wife used to take their juicer on planes and he'd turn orange from eating too many carrots. I've never physically met him but griffin and travis have, and my best friend saw them at a show, so it's like i have.
I've never been so frustrated listening to a podcast as I was during the hot fruit segment.
Having a comment section for these episodes reminds me that I'm not alone in experiencing these wonderful boys.
Microwaving grapes creates plasma. There are KZread videos of it happening.
My dad honest to God microwaves frozen blueberries to "take the chill out". No high preparation, no microwave damage. Is he Boba? He'd never admit it.
How did Justin get onto Travis for saying nouns to describe birds, when he didn’t get onto Griffin for saying “worms” and “birds?”

god the grapes bit really went on 8 minutes huh
Travis surreptitiously comparing themselves to the ninja turtles is him talking directly to me
Putting grapes into the microwave and heating them up will make plasma
23:10 Are we just going to skip over that confession that he wipes his butt with paper towels? That poor plumbing
This is an all-time great episode, the bois truly at their best throughout.
.............i myself partake of hot mango chunks (originally of the frozen variety sprinkled in lemon and sugar) and also hot apple sauce lol
Griffin turned his back on the birds the second he saw that "pointless" joke within reach
The phrase #vomworthy is #vomworthy
Always happy to get my weekly dose of good podcast boys
34:43 "cus-tom mag-net" most adorable thing I love you friend
god bless that soundboard
By God, that final Yahoo got me.
"My friends call me zit and Forbes gave me an award one time." Is a powerful, depressed energy. I LOVE that.
Not fruit, but my coworker microwaves his salad because he doesn't like cold food, so I'm afraid to ask him about fruit.
Travis is on-point on this episode, Had me busting a gut!
As they say, bird's the word
It was always about grapes
Holy shit, that press release. holy shit.
27:11 Griffin callin out the government!!!
damn i remember when this came out- honestly wild that it’s been 4 years
this is the best episode I think
I love these guys!
What's up, you cool babies?
after listening to this episode with my cousin, me and her got some grapes and put em in the microwave. They exploded, but I managed to get one that was only half sploded. It just tasted like very hot jam :/
Here after Sarah Zedig's video. I think this is by itself maybe not very funny but when she gives you some context it becomes really endearing and I love it

Totally missed an opportunity for Operation: Dump-O Drop...
Also, grapes don't turn to hot water balloons in the microwave. They turn to plasma. Look it up, it's a real thing.
"Quosine" :| :| :| THAT. Is the FUNNIEST. Comedy Thing. I have heard in quite some time u_u

Some of my loved ones love putting frozen fruits in the microwave and it grosses me out. Just tastes weird.
I would like to officially put the hot fruit debate to rest, if I could. The entire concept is a farce. There is almost no raw foods which it is normal to microwave or otherwise heat and then consume by themselves. You would not pop some blueberries in the microwave and then just eat those bad boys, no. But you know what else you wouldn't do that with? Broccoli, carrots, chicken breasts, salami, dry pasta, and pretty much anything else you can think of. If no 'fancy preparation' of the fruit is allowed (vis a vis cobbler, pie, etc) then no fancy preparation of other foods is allowed either (such as pizza, nachos, chicken pot pie, baked potato, etc). The only foods that I can think of which would be somewhat normal to eat hot without any extra ingredients would be rice, oatmeal, popcorn, and sweet potatoes. They would all just be very bland.

I just gotta say, even though this is 9 months ago, bacon can be cooked in the microwave, that’s actually how I do it, and how my family does it. (

OKAY I'm with Justin on that. Would you take a fresh ass carrot and peel it and pop it into the microwave? Would you get raw chicken and put it in the microwave ? a whole tomato? (i mean it's a fruit so maybe that's not the best argument). Or like a raw bell pepper? or an ear of corn??? NO Like.... you microwave just the stuff you reheat? If you cooked some strawberries and made a sauce yesterday and you wanted to pop it in the microwave before eating? cool if you cooked some peas and carrots yesterday and you pop it in? Kinda gross but yeah it's fine NOW TELL ME What kind of maniac takes ANY raw unprocessed food and just. Puts it in the microwave???
@zurichRevolts

you’re not responding to the question at all. you’re responding to some of the tangents they went on to try to explain to justin what they were talking about, and even then you’re just saying what you do but not why you do it that way. meat needs to be cooked before you eat it. you’re not gonna eat it raw, and you’re not just gonna toss it in the microwave. fruit does not need to be cooked. the common way to eat most fruits doesn’t involve any preparation. the fact that people don’t microwave fruit that isn’t part of some other dish is undisputed; it’s an inherent assumption of the question; it’s the crux of the whole argument. the yahoo user asks why this unspoken rule exists. if i’m not putting it into a bread or a pudding or whatever, i could eat a banana cold. i could eat it room temperature. i could put it in the microwave and eat it warm, but i probably wouldn’t. why not? have you ever tried it? do you know anybody who has? if no, that’s kinda weird, isn’t it? there’d probably be no harm, right? nobody’s ever cautioned you against it, have they? you think it’s weird because you imagine that it’s uncommon. but why is it uncommon? boy, i hope i don’t have to continue this conversation
@dumbalek6001

@@zurichRevolts you're not obliged to continue this conversation at all. Who said I was responding to the question? I just can't listen to Griffin's absolute nonsense take. The answer to the op's question is simple : why do we eat fruit cold? Because we can. Because you won't get poisoned from an unprocessed raw apple, but you def will from eating raw chicken. It's just comparing reheating processed food and a single grape that makes my brain melt. Even in very unserious, comedy podcast setting ;)

Microwaved apple with cinnamon, anyone???? Or, go grab a bag of mixed berries from the freezer section, toss those bad boys in a bowl and throw em in the microwave. Yogurt as per Justin's suggestion, optional. Shit is cheap and decadent 👌
dogs can actually eat raw steak and chicken-whole and they would be perfectly fine. They have salmonella in their system so they wouldn't get sick because they came from wolves and wolves eat raw things cause they can't cook.
