Each rotor Is 654 cc and there is 2 in a 13b so it's a 1.3 insurance class it as a 2.6 so they can charge high premiums

i have 2600 injectors it aint 1,2 no more and with the race port its more like a 10 litre plus premix klotz and watermeth bruhh driving around is 300$

RX7 was never designed for drag/straight line racing. Take it to the hill or twisty tracks in stock form can outrun many cars (depends on driver skills as well).

And the only reason I say, nearly everything, because Drag vehicles are a bit of an exception. They maybe so highly strung, to go down that straight line, as soon as possible, that the engine or electric motors, may catastrophically fail, at the finish-line. Even if that doesn't happen, Their maintenance can be as frequent as every race. I hate when people swap a rotary for pistons. I think best thing to do, is to add more rotors, and or, swap to better rotors. ....I wonder if anyone ever rotary swapped a Corvette, so Corvette fans know how it feels. A company named Genovation, and I bet DIYers, have converted a Corvette to electric. But I never heard of a rotary one. ......I just did some research, and apparently, Chevy had a rotary Corvette concept, called the Aerovette. But I haven't found anyone rotary swapping a Corvette yet.

The RX-7 FD is stil one of my altime favorites.

if you're not lucky enough to own an RX-7 one of the best performance mods you can do to any vehicle to make it go faster is throw a rotary engine under the hood and any RX-7 with a v anything under the hood is a parts car and it's unsafe to be driven on public roads

I would love to have one and do an LS swap but I think if I had the money to maintain the rotary and buy an RX-7 then I would just keep it original, I love the high revs and lighter weight.

The funny part is none of those other cars are gonna need new apex seals every 3 months 😂

GTRs are impressive, but I do feel like maybe that 20bs 748hp was a dyno number, cause the second it hooked up, it shoulda jumped HARD on a sub 600hp GTR. From experience with a 600hp 2 rotor, I was pretty dead even with a 600 some odd hp GTR. A

i was exaggerating. that is incredible mileage for an rx7. FYI RX7 are inherently inefficient engines. they have a very low b.s.f.c.

Jose Martinez talking about the FD3S, the mpg stock IIRC was 17/19. Nothing impressive but that wasn't bad for the early 90's. I get good gas mileage because my aftermarket stand alone ECU is tuned. Plus all of my ignition upgrades allow me to use fuel more efficiently. I will say though that during WOT runs, all bets are off. But no GAS powered car is a gas saver @ WOT. But that is the definition of Wide Open Throttle... It's wide open lol

rotary's are efficient, but only around peak power, like a two stroke they have a very basic valve set up, aka a port in the housing lol, only it doesn't rely on a separate air pump to scavenge and still retains an oiling system so you have a lot more room for mods. with the tech we have today, the only downside to a rotary is the lack of variability in its power band and emissions, outside of that they beat piston engines in terms of power to weight, complexity, and flow.

Worldofthunder you don't get 26mpg making 400hp though. Or you'd have set some sort of record. I've gotten close to that, keeping it out out of boost, and I can deffinetly dip into the single digits if I wind out 4th or 5th gear. Lol

I heard multiple LS swaps in this. Just call it a smaller Corvette C5 if you do that and be done with it. Come on. The rotary was made for that car, and that car was made for the rotary. They are meant to be together. The rotary is light, and keeps the car light and nimble as it was intended.

I'm the fucking beast if you integrate 2 more rotors with triple turbo.

The LS is a great engine, but a LS swapped RX7 makes me cry. If you're going to do an engine swap to a RX7 or any JDM car. Please stick with JDM engines. The whole RB lineup is great, 1JZ/2JZ are great, 2-3-4 rotors, Boxers, SR20's, I would say a VTEC, but I personally hate VTEC's thanks to ricers. Feel free to comment any JDM engine I forgot.
