    You shouldn't fill the filter, if dirt or anything gets in the engine it will pump it straight into the bearings completely unfiltered. Even something as small as a few microns could damage bearings.

    in the little booklet that comes with the car it says to change it when the oil indicates the X on the dipstick. You have minimum, maximum and above that is the X. I do not understand this. Does this mean that the oil will increase in volume over time? Because the X is higher up the dipstick.

  • @YZJB

    @YZJB

    The ‘x’ mark is only found in the diesel engines. And yes, in the diesels the oil level will rise under some circumstances

    What is that tool you are using to get the plug out? What am I looking at? I have this on my Yaris but 99% of the videos are all actual bolts like normal cars. What is this mystery tool and plug that is so casually glossed over? My manual says nothing about it, Yarisworld mentions nothing about it, no video, but this one, mentions anything about it. Why is this so confusing to understand how to change your oil and the ONLY video just glosses over it, like its normal, like 99.9% of cars dont have bolts! SOMEONE HELP IM LOSING MY MIND WTF IS THIS TOOL!??!!?

    @@YZJB Bro! I finally figured it out. Ive never seen one of these. Bizarrely the oil change place near me had no idea what it was and couldnt change my oil. So I did it myself. Hell the dealership I bought it from was lost on what it was, I went to 3 Auto Parts stores that couldn't tell me what it was. I was malding in this post, sorry. Its pretty wild how many people have no idea what is going on with this piece, and every video on it, besides yours, is a completely different piece to drain the oil. Thanks for the help man! You own.
