Dr. Mayur Hazarika hails from a little town in Assam, a northeastern state of India. He secures AIR 5 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2022 and aims for Indian Foreign Services. Mayur Hazarika completed his 12th grade from the Assam State Board. He had secured 10th rank in the 10th board final examination conducted by the Secondary Education Board of Assam in 2013. He pursued his MBBS at Guwahati Medical College, graduating in 2020. Hazarika said besides doing his medical practice, he had prepared for the UPSC examination. He gave up the practice after clearing the preliminary examination. He took Live-online coaching for the civil services examination. This was his first attempt at the civil service exams, and he now aspires to join the Indian Foreign Services.

In 1990, cover page of every magazine had one name IAS topper Dinkar Asthana. He was among the first, who was from IIT Kanpur electrical engg., and UPSC topper, thus starting the trend of engineers turning officials. Then he went on to be diplomat of Laos, i think and other non descriptive profiles. So being a topper and being a change agent for "serving society" (that's what all IAS say) are two different things.

Snehil Tripathi modern India book is now producing toppers . 1st attempt single digit rankers are extra smart to choose it over spectrum . It will replace spectrum as the default choice soon.

A very big congratulations to our respected sir/Dr. Mayur for making the entire northeast proud by becoming an ias officer and being air top 5 all round and air top 1 among the male candidates. 🎉🤝 Just my opinion without negative thoughts, Only the toppers can continuously achieve the best ones, specially from the engineering/ medical backgrounds. They succeeded in becoming a well known engineer's/ Doctors. Yet they are not satisfied and still wanting to achieve more other things without giving a chance to others😅 . The failures or the ordinary students will keep on failing😢. Always demotivated because the majority of the ias, ips, ifs,ifos or irs, are from science or engineering/medical backgrounds.😅 Not fair ya .😅 Everyone deserves the same treatment in the country to make a better country so that there will be less unemployed people's in the country which is the most important one's , because India is a country where the rich people become more richer whereas the poor people become more poorer which is extremely unfair and a bad reputation for the country. And this has been continuing for so many years which a very much minus➖ mark. Finally, I can understand that only the chosen ones are born differently in billions in which i was not in a chosen ones list 😢😅.
