Maytag Whirlpool uL error - double check your new suspension rods are actually good

Hoping this is my final video on my journey to solve my uL unbalanced load issue. Turns out the new suspension rods I purchased were bad and I never realized it. This guy helped me understand how they are supposed to work:
• Cheap Permanent? fix f...
I would avoid the Sikawai brand as those did not have enough dampening power for my machine. Or at least test that the new ones you get are actually better than your old ones.

Replaced the rods on my Samsung with a set of $45 rods and still had the problem until I bought a tube of Nyogel 767a dampening grease and smeared a generous coating of the grease on the rods where the bearing rides. Works great. The replacement rods don't have enough or the right type of grease on them

Dampening grease from Amazon. Saw a video today, the grease on the rod is the secret.

That is an interesting suggestion. That sounds like it would work well if it lasts. Thanks for the idea.

great video, at the end you need to test the machine by filling the basket with 2 blue jeans and see how that goes...

Why did it take 2 bearing kits to fix? Replaced the rods and it’s still getting up code. Only want to do the bearings once.

I needlessly replaced it twice. It was the bad rods I purchased that messed me up.

so it was the bearing and shaft that was the issue then?? I just replaced my bearings, and it is still throwing the code. Unsure if I installed incorrectly or if it is the suspension rods now?

For me it was just the bearing/shaft. unfortunately for me I replaced the good rods first with cheap aftermarket ones, so I ended up replacing the bearings a second time thinking I did it wrong or got a bad one. If I was you, I would do the rods as well. They are much easier to replace. Just don't go cheap like I did. And when you get the new ones make sure the foam/rubber stopper on them doesn't slide easily.

I tried all this, and it's bs! The inner tub is bad and has too much play when it's stopped!

@@falk0069 This was on a Samsung...Foam dampers were torn up.I used a teflon sleeve with the clamps(a drum bearing for a GE dryer)but the rubber hose could be sourced easier and would be a better fit once it is acertained which size is the best grip to the rod.

I took that rod apart and put pantyhose in there wrapped it tight enough where I can barely get the lid but the cap back on it run 60 loads through it so far and still working great

Sounds like a great tip. I'm having troubles visualizing what you did, though. Do you have pantyhose wrapped all the way up the rod? Just under the spring? Do you still have that foam stopper on?

I wonder if rubber fuel or vacuum hose of the right size would be too "resistive" or last long enough

I feel like that rubber would not be sticky/pliable enough. Hard to say, though. It definitely needs resistance and still be able to move.

I will never buy this type of washer again. ul code every other wash. I get a cheap old school top load with the agitator and i works perfectly. These overpriced maytags are crap
