Thank you Michael. This video showed me exactly where to turn and find the blockage myself.

Mine was a piece of cloth inside the white part where the hose connects. I had to stick my finger in there and pull it out. Thanks again, you're a money saver

This same thing has been intermittent for 4 yrs and much internet searching for many opinions, but this was IT!!!! Put door entry carpet in it to be washed and it formed a wad in the drain hose. I had to move the washer outside with a dolly due to water in it and NOT going to remove the drain hose inside. Removed it and the bivalve opened and out came all the water. Put the drain hose back on and connected a garden hose to the cold water input and ran a short cycle to open the door and find it full again?? Then I removed the drain hose again tried to run water from the garden hose through the drain hose and it was so plugged. Rammed some tubing in it and hosed it again and blew out the wad. YEAH!!!! COST?? ZERO!!!! Thanks

Bruce, we appreciate you watching & sharing this. Awesome job getting your washer cleared out & back up and running. Not a bad idea using a dolly to take machine outside to drain water, water pouring all over the inside floor is never good. Let us know if you have any questions, us DIY’ers need to stick. Hopefully many stress free days ahead for you. 😎👍

Found a guitar pick in mine, go figure. It was gumming up the works and caused quite a blockage. We thought we needed to replace our washer when all we had to do was remove the back panel and remove the hose from the pump. The check valve was blocked open with the pick and a clump of hair et al. Our washer also wouldn't drain all the way, left clothes wet and would sometimes come up with an error message. All better now!

Thanks for watching welcome to the DIY Raptor Club. Isn’t that wild, something as little as a guitar pick can cause a machine altering issue...😳 We appreciate you sharing this and it’s great to hear you’re back up and running. Hopefully many stress free days ahead for you. Thanks for watching Aaron. 😎👍🔧🔩

What if the obstruction is in the pump, or between the pump and the drum, instead of in the drain hose downstream of the pump? It would be nice to know how to diagnose whether the problem causing the water not to drain is a clog or a broken pump BEFORE taking anything apart, such as by the sound it makes during the drain cycle, and/or whether there's no flow or a little flow when it's supposed to be draining..

I hooked up a shop vac to the hose and sucked the water out. Worked pretty slick. That also was not my problem. I am hoping it is just the pump. Seems easy enough to replace

There is a fuse in your wiring if you take off the metal piece on the back of your control center you will find a large paper with all the wiring diagrams and trouble shooting patterns to follow that should make it easy to figure out the problem.
