"La mayor parte del tiempo". "La mayor de las promesas'. "El mayor de los compromisos". "La mayoría de esta la gente...". "La mayor parte del mundo". "El mayor anhelo". "La mayor azaña de la humanidad". "La más ciudad grande". "La montaña más grande". "El curso de río más grande". "La pesa más grande". "El luchador más grande, ganará". "Deja la roca pequeña, y toma la grande". "El más grande de todos los héroes". I think "Grande" it's used to "Volume/density"; And "Mayor", it's like used to "Time/Length/Humans Actions". I never think about this, maybe i'm wrong. Others can be more confuse: "El mayor/El más grande afluente del río amazonas..." (Both are correct).

Hey Andrew, just wanted to say I'm really excited to see you uploading again. I found your channel about 8 or so months ago and your videos really helped me understand some difficult beginner concepts. I have made tremendous progress since then (I get a lot of practice with my fiancée, who is a native speaker) but I kept your videos in the back of my mind and was a little saddened when I noticed you hadn't posted in a while. Pero, yo sé eres tu propia persona con tu propia vida así que ahora sólo quería decirte que haces vídeos de muy buena calidad y espero que tengas mucho éxito :) ¡Qué bueno verte otra vez!

Great video as always! If you haven’t already, would you be able to do a video about the differences and when to use (para, a, de) before an infinite verb, particularly (a & de) para I understand as “in order to” but sometimes I’m not sure when to use it. Many thanks 🙏

Gracias for esta información Andrew👍. No sabía las diferencias entre estos ajectivos. 'La mayor parte' siempre la había traducido como una comparación de algo incontable 'the greater part'. Voy a prestar más atención a los usos de mayor / grande en contexto. 'Con la mayor brevedad' = cuanto antes (as soon as possible.) He oído esta expresión. Te llamaremos con la mayor brevedad.

I was wondering if viejo/a is used more for people, but then there is the dish ropa vieja. So when is antiguo/a preferred to viejo/a?

There’s another use for Mayor which is not people or things: La mayor estupidez que he oído. This would be similar to The biggest. Also note the difference without La: Mayor estupidez no puede decirse. Although in English you must use The biggest, actual use without The is seen, and same in Spanish. Though the drop of La means that is in the high end, but not necessarily The biggest

Decirle Mas Grande en edad a las personas Adultas por que Granda es un tamaño para edad se usa correctamente mayor no esta grande ya.
