@@davidlaing7684 nah, she's an out-of-control idiot who thinks that if she doesn't answer a question they can't hold it against her. most of these questions she refuses to answer could theoretically get her contempt charges in court. these don't qualify as 'plea the fifth' type of answers -- this is a civil case, the standards are different. they'll give her answers to questions she doesn't want to address, lol. if she was actually smart -- and she's not -- she would have quietly settled this case for less money and paid for some of that settlement with all the money she saved in further attorney and court costs. but, she doesn't gaf because it's not her money and she's delusional enough to think her bullshit is good enough to win.

I will say this: when a witness uses, "I don't remember" as a response in depositions over and over, a good trial lawyer will use that to significant advantage at trial. Playing dumb may work for Congressional witnesses and appointees, but it does not work as an effective strategy in a court of law.

Henyard's attorney is not allowed to object like that! She is only allowed to object, and then Henyard is required to answer anyway. The reason the attorney is not allowed to give a reason for the objection is because it directs or hints to the client (Henyard) how to phrase her answer. A judge can later rule whether or not the question is valid and then give it weight or throw it out. But in a deposition, all questions must be answered and objections can only be "object to form" which doesn't give a hint as to why. Why they kept allowing Henyard's attorney to keep stating reasons, even when they told her that it was improper, is beyond me. Unless Illinois is different from other states.

This deposition keep reiterating the lack of respect and care she has for the taxpayers of Dolton. She shows she doesn’t care about frivolously spending their hard earned money.

This was the most frustrating deposition that I ever have seen. I take my hat off to you, Hannibal. Thanks for going over this. It is clear that she does not care about finances and just spends money as she feels and does not have any sort of budget in her mind. Someone responsible needs to be elected as Mayor, not her with her spend, spend, spend and party attitude. Freeman needs to be held responsible for the out of control budget, along with the members of the finance committee.
