You can be justly proud that you have one of the rare KZread channels which is heart-warming and enlightening.

I can't get over how Ellen's focus just locks on that bass and she grooves even before having plugged in as if she's been playing this bass for a good bit of time. Adjusting to the different scale so fast is not as easy as it may seem. This video also shows her hand positions and her technique which is getting better and better so quickly.. Awesome.

Every vid I see of Ellen playing, I am astounded by her sense of melodic rhythm. If there ever was a "natural" bass player, she is IT. Very cool of Mayones to send her this, and very smart, as it will return many times over in positive publicity for their fine instrument. Thank you for sharing this. Very fun.

That bass is probably more expensive than any of my full size basses.... look at the construction, woods, pickups, hardware.... fretwork, all completely custom..... holy moly. And it sounds amazing, of course in the hands of one of youtube's top bass players Ellen!

@@rayhaynes2021 Well, "piccolo" is Italian for "small" and often used for "smaller instrument than normal size", e.g. piccolo trumpet. So I literally meant "small bass". ☺ If you associate bass = big, this look like an oxymoron indeed. But since it really exists, I think it's closer to a paradox.
