The XFLY Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker 750mm EDF jet is an easy-to-fly, great-looking, and versatile scale EDF model that will appeal to a wide variety of pilots, including those with limited experience in flying EDF jets. The 4S-compatible power system includes twin 12-bladed 50mm fan units that deliver an abundance of power for excellent thrust, loads of speed, and an incredible turbine-like sound. The full-size Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker is a long-range air defense jet fighter that was designed as a direct competitor to the McDonnell Douglas F-14. The swept-back wing configuration gives the Su-27 excellent slow-speed handling and short-field capabilities, but it also allows for high maneuverability at speed. These design attributes carry over extremely well to the XFLY model of the Sukhoi Su-27.
The XFLY Su-27 is supplied in a "Plug-N-Fly" format meaning that it not only includes the fan units, motors, and ESCs, but 5 x 9g digital servos as well, all you need to supply is a transmitter, receiver, and a 4S (14.8V) 2200~3000mAh LiPo battery. The strong landing gear supplied is fixed with a steerable nose gear, but due to the very stable flight characteristics of the Su-27, it is quite happy being hand-launched with the landing gear removed. This takes it to the next level with even more speed and an almost unlimited vertical performance.
The model is made from very tough EPO foam and is beautifully finished in a blue color scheme of the Ukrainian Air Force. Assembly is quick and simple, there is a small amount of gluing to do on the tail components, but the rest is simply screwed together.
So if you are after a scale EDF jet that looks great, flies great, is smooth and stable in flight, and has excellent handling qualities, then the XFLY Sukhoi Su-27 is for you.
Features:
• Supplied as Plug-N-Fly complete with powerful 4S compatible twin 5mm 12-blade fan units, brushless motors, ESCs, and 5 x 9g digital servos
• Scale model of the iconic plane as flown by the Ukrainian Air Force
• Can be flown with, or without landing gear
• Crystal clear canopy with cockpit detail and pilot figure
• Ball-link equipped servo linkages for precise control
• Constructed from lightweight, tough EPO foam
• Suitable for intermediate to experienced pilots

There is a really good lesson here. After you have been flying for a long time, your pre-flight checks can become so routine that you go through the motions and say the words (AILERONS, Left, Right, Up Down) but you are not even paying attention anymore to what the plane is doing. Of course he caught the reversed rudder soon enough and fixed it,,,and that had nothing to do with the crash ... but there is still a lesson here. I salute you guys for showing both the good and the bad .... and we don't edit nothing. Dats it.

I had this plane for about ~300 flights before I crashed into some trees. It does fly really nicely as long as you have a good battery. One little tip for anyone who has or plans to buy this plane, replace the front wheel with a 1.75-inch wheel. This will help the plane rotate in a shorter distance and improve the grass handling.

I'm so glad you didn't edit this video! The same thing happened to me on Tuesday, I had a plane that flew pretty good as always and suddenly this time, after takeoff I had no control of it and it crashed, no salvage it was a total loss! Then I took out another small 27 inch wingspan plane, and a gust of wind slammed it to the ground and crashed that one, 2 wrecks inside of 10 minutes, it gives you the creeps and not wanting to fly again. But I have 4 helicopters and I never have an issue with any of them, I always have issues with planes.

@@PetrincicBrosRC as soon as i am ready to fly my big boy
Years ago two brothers were flying together and Kevin crashed behind Jerry with a 1000 size Ultra sport plane with a large super tiger engine on it. He crashed about 12 feet behind Jerry and didn't say a word he was going down. I asked Kevin what would you have told your mother if you had killed Jerry and he didn't say anything. I just seen Kevin last month and he still remembers me asking him that question after 30 years. You have to be on your toes all the time flying R/C planes.
The joys of foam, bit of glue some reinforcements & you'll be back in the air. I had a similar crash with a balsa wood plane....600 pieces latter 😂😂

Hi captains! First. Awesome and extremely fun as always! I just saw this bird by coincidence on Hobbyking on "offer" today. It looks nice and flyes cool throwing it. The part crashing was unexpected. I though the crash would come when landing. I think it was a stall because of that banking. Me as a absolute newbie on edfs crashed to planes in one day stalling. One because of wind from behind and the other nicer one because of a banking (maybe I wanted to turn as you?) and almost instantly stall. Captain Blaz has nerves of steel :D :)

I had three power losses. Wanted to abort the flight but the last power cut was too much.
Once in flight, the speed and maneuver were very smooth and very fast. Clearly, a high performance and demanding. While a loss of the machine, it in fact had a flight character real to the design. I think it might be such as the challenge of such a model, and as a viewer and modeler, I understand various crash upon problems. So it is I rather judge the brief flight as wonderful. Easy to try again, perhaps or simply move to a new design. Like the Bee Gee or maybe the stagger wing. Or Storch. Or maybe as spring sunshine, a free flight model. For instance, balsa construction with a small glow as pylon mounted? Whatever you as a fun channel might decide, I simply enjoyed the reminder not all flight ends well. But I cheer anyway, as the activity is fun. Snow is visible from my home as to mountains. So very cold here, but nice weather will come. Model planes look nice in sunshine. M.
Holy sh*t that was funny At least you didn't have to walk far.

Su 27 update the fms twin 70 an xfly twin 64mm have the cg to scale in the same spott! Transfer that cg to xfly twin 50mm an it's 10 mm behind the mark. An all the big shots move the cg back on the bigger planes. So don't give up on this bird. It doesn't have the power if you're running a 2200mah 250gr battery anything less than half throttle in the turn it will tip stall with forwarded cg. Move cg back 10mm to start. 2nd only to the wright brothers , we can all agree on a 9.75 for both fellas the most famous brothers in all of aviation today
