BSPs biggest enemy is SP & Congress. Since whole opposition wants the same base vote, they’ll have to eliminate each other before competing with BJP.

Caste based parties and caste politics are on the death bed. Most common people have moved on from it (irrespective if which caste they are from) and are aspiring for better things in life. BSP will be gone in a few years, so will the other caste parties like SP, JDS etc

In your dreams lol. You are watching in this timeline so u r judging it from here. Read little about history (especially political history of this country). BSP RJD like parties will always be there. The graph of the performance may fluctuate. It may dive deep too but as long as leadership and cadre based organisation is there, most importantly will is there, these parties will always be there. Only teens think just by looking at today's performance that some party won't rise up again....

The real point is, if parties remain out of power for a long time and have no money, how will they pay the cadres. Kashiram was a leader of ground who worked on ground. He just picked mayawati from a rally. According to me mayawati wasn't that politically knowledgeable. She isn't even working on the ground Never come out from her house. After kanshiram she only won 1 election that too because of anti incumbency of SP. Now BSP is justva jatav party in UP. With 10% votebank they can't win. In 2019 BSP votes wasn't transferred to SP

Shekhar ji in 2022 UP election BJP increased its vote share from 39% to 42%. But BSP vote fell from 22% to 12% while SP vote increased to 32%(basically 22% + 4% vote went taken from congress +6% additional vote)

if you are adding 4% of INC in 2017, then must also add the 4-5% of SBSP & RLD which then got added to the SP alliance in 2022. So it's still a 10+% points increase, roughly the same as decline of BSP.

in the rarest of chances that NDA gets less than 272 seats, Mayawati will be the first one to offer external support to the BJP

Good to see prof dilip mandal in panel . He is true or in classical terminology organic intellectual for majority of indian working caste

Intelligent and informative discussion🎉. To summarise, if BSP were a stock, Mandal is recommending "hold" for the BSP ticker, while DK went with "sell". Mandal delivered a nice history session but it appears his optimism for BSP's revival was more about hope rather than sound reasoning. Personally, I don't see Muslims abandoning SP but then I'm not from UP. DK was more focussed on current events and perhaps a bit too harsh on the party. Personally, I don't think "pappufication" can happen overnight. Akash Anand is not Rahul Gandhi. Akash seems far more articulate and better at sensing the pulse of the crowd. I think Mandal's explanation is more sound but I concur with DK regarding the party's bleak future. Nevertheless, Yogi will be a 2 term CM in 2027. He'll have to go beyond "law and order" to win a 3rd term. It might sound odd, but before Modi it was actually Mayawati that had united Hindus. Her famous "social engineering" was the talk of the town then but the main problem with these parties is that even for 2% Muslim votes they readily abandon Hindu causes.

Lol. Dilip Mandal is behaving like a party member instead of a journalist. I don't why he was a panelist in this episode. He's hell bent on defending the indefensible. He usually has very sharp arguments on all issues but here his biases have obscured his intelligence. On the other hand DK had pretty logical and strong arguments. He has beautifully destroyed every argument presented by Mandal.

Mondal saab did not do justice with his profession in this interview.....i felt he tried confuse the viewer and was trying get away from bsp+ bjp collaboration, because he does not want to speak facts

Good discussion. Dilip does not appear to be objective about BSP. It’s like his own life’s work is coming under question if BSP’s shenanigans are exposed. And he didn’t say much about their core voters also moving away from “hurt” politics to aspirational politics. Looks like his politics is also becoming an anachronism!!

It’s very hard to achieve any meaningful progress in India if caste fault lines exists and people keep voting on caste basis. Contrary to popular liberal belief, developed countries like Japan, S Korea, Germany and to some extent US maintain a very high standard of nationalism and feel very proud of it. Unless Indians rise above caste and accept being Indian as their identity, we will be too busy fighting among ourselves and pulling each other down. All the developed countries in the world are very homogeneous.

Mr Gupta, you need to know that Dilip Mandal isn't an objective commentator. He is more of a political activist like Kancha Ilaiah who frequently gives skewed commentary attacking or trolling the BJP. Like in 2018 or so he wrote a piece claiming that for Dalits the BJP was no more than an oppressor so why should they vote for it? Then in 2019 the BJP's share of the Dalit vote increased! Then in 2020 or so he wrote a piece trolling Modi by asking him to rig the selection process for the Ram temple committee to put a Dalit in charge.

Disappointed with the analysts of sg and DK. Main reason could be she does not want SP to benefit

Two superb good political analyst and very good moderator but still I fnd this show somewhat lacking on all aspects. I dont know what eent wrong or dont know what more i am looking for. Still some great political acumen i was searching which i could not find. All in all good episode but could have been better. One important thing that DK's subject matter expertise and his unbiased view is unparalleled and very very rare. DK please accept my salutations on it

Raise of BSP is dependent on muslim's fatigue and disappointment with SP which has been happening and may culminate after the result of current election. If Muslims take side with BSP it would become a massive force and SP will become just small marginal player.
