Thank you! Ugh I feel your pain! Last summer I had tiny grasshoppers chewing the leaves. By the fall the plant looked terrible. I'm going to try make a garlic/water spray to deter them. 🤞

Hi Robyn, in early spring I buy compost in bulk (much cheaper) and add 2 inches to the top of all my beds and sprinkle some plant tone around my perennials. (Rose tone around roses). Once I’ve planted summer annuals I add a layer of brown triple shredded mulch (triple shredded breaks down well and the brown is dyed with vegetable dye not chemicals) My annuals in containers I fertilize weekly with either miracle grow or Proven Winners water soluble fertilizer. Allium - incredible !!! - purple ball !!! I was retry grow them in pot. It’s not work. Try grow them in back yard. And I’m hope they survive. Please 🙏 let us know what zone you grow you plants. My friend. From Germany. 🇩🇪 grow Allium- easy. But maybe in North Florida it’s to hot? 🥵. My zone 8-“B”

Hi May, I bought the bulbs online from Colorblends and planted them in the fall, they come back every year but reduce in size annually. I replant new bulbs every 2 years. Thank you. We get a lot of rain in spring so Mother Nature takes care of my garden. During summer I water deeply once a week however my containers and hanging baskets get watered every morning. Happy gardening 🌸

Hello! Absolutely beautiful gardens!!! 🌿🌸🐝 Really love the choices in your design and your restraint. ❤️ In your front border at 3:32…are those grasses Hakonechloa Japanese forest grass? Do they do well in full sun for you or are they getting dappled shade? I just love the look of this grass but don’t have much shade in my garden. I’m in zone 7B in Delaware.

Thank you! Most of the plants in my garden are perennials, I like to use annuals for borders, hanging baskets and containers, that way I can change it up every year. I have some full sun and full shade areas, my front garden has a mixture of both🌸

Same thing happened to my clematis, it came back very strong this year! Also what alliums are those? wow they are amazing!

@@Taruna908 Mulching is the way to go. It suffocates weeds and keeps the soil cool and moist. The weeds that make it through the mulch I pull as soon as I see them.

Usually my Allium leaves yellow out quickly. Not sure what went right this year, I may have gotten the watering right. Sorry I don't have a better answer🌺
