    I have to admit, my stock Maxis Big Horns have never let me down. Deep snow, rock, mud. I cant imagine those Carnivores.

    Have you had any to do any clutch work or had any belt issues, trying to decide between 30 inch or 32 inch carnivores, don`t want to do any clutch work but concerned about the weight added by the tires, have 2014 maverick xxc 1000 with 27 inch bighorns

    I live in the southeast and I mainly ride trails and hunt off of my rzr. I figured the tread would clean out well in the mud.

    Very good review with great facts. I've seen a couple reviews with people claiming punctures. Have you had any problems yet? Where I ride there are sharp rocks and forest/branches and want something as durable as Mongrels if possible.

    Nice review. I’m actually looking at buying 2 of these for my garden tractor. It’s a large frame Simplicity Powermax 9020 that weighs 1300 lbs. I plan on using this tractor mainly for snow removal. How does it perform in snow/ice? Thanks

    How are you liking the carnivores? I'm looking to lift my Ranger 900xp and wanting to get the 26" stocks off, considering a 28" or 30" depending on how much fender clearance I can gain with a small lift, forward a arms etc. Trying to decide between a couple tires any info would be helpful, thanks! The Carnivores look great. I'll be riding in snow, trails, creeks, small amounts of mud. Other options I was looking at was Blackwater Evos, Maxxis Bighorn.

    So long story short, these are the best and most capable tires I have owned I take them everywhere...well except the dunes anyway and the perform flawlessly!! They are very light and your machine will spin them with ease, I ran them stock for a long time with my stock clutch and had no issues ...I run the 32” and I have a 3” super Atv lift and then lowered my springs 1” to give it a softer less top heavy ride and I think it’s perfect, but as for the tires I don’t think you can find a much better tire out there for the trails, awesome in snow, rocks, trails and even really good in mud , wat h some of our trail videos and y we take them through everything!! I love them!!

    How did you do with this set up? I have the Ranger 800 Crew with 3" bracket and 1"forward a-arms. I'm running 30"x9"x14" Silverbacks in the front. 11" wide on rear. I'm wanting to change out to these Carnivores in a 30" or 32". I really want the 32", but not sure if it will rub? I just use it around the ranch at slow speeds. Do the 32's measure 32?

    hey good video i have a rzr xp 1000 been seriously considering this tire for a upgrade dont really want to clutch it but thanking bout either 30" or these 32" really want the 32" did you notice a power loss and how are they doing im not a mudder but what we have to go thru on trail im more rocks hills creeks water falls general trail riding i dont ride fast either i live in east tn mountain riding do think my rzr could do the 32" or stick to the 30" carnivores

    hey ridge runner i have taken them out a few time in all environments mud snow rocks you name it its very rocky here in WA state, tires have performed amazing lots of traction at all times, i found to run the around 10 psi is the happy point where they hook up everywhere, i did notice a small power loss but that was expected, i do not have a clutch kit and as long as i don't hammer on the throttle or take for ever to accelerate my belt doesn't even notice the difference. stock turns them just fine, i do plan adjusting the clutch at a later dye just to bring all the power back that i know the machine is capable of, but all in all tires are GREAT! i would buy them again in a heart beat!

    ridge runner outdoors 30 inch is more than enough for a UTV, I wouldn’t go more than that. It’ll put more strain on the drivetrain and you’ll definitely get a power loss. It’s really not worth it for an inch or two more.

    SVTsupercharged yea im really leaning that way cause looking at tire weight compared to my stock tires i could run the 30" carnivores and not have to do anythang else or even worry bout breaking anythang. i probly wont even notice any difference thnk you

    you need to drive it around after having it jacked up for the tire change to get a true ground clearance measurement. 27" to 32" is a 5 inch difference but only half of that is under the axle line so should be 2.5-3 inch max

  • @milowurth7083

    @milowurth7083

    Not really, my bighorns measured 1" smaller than advertised brand new where as the carnivore is true to size. 26 to 32. 17.5-18in clearance is about correct.

    If you look at any website selling these they all say no, they are not. Haven’t found a single seller saying they are. Having said that, I watched a video by the guys at SXSblog.com where they installed these and they read off of the tire “DOT test standard compliant” or something to that nature. Would love to get these if they pass for DOT so I can plate my RZR here in Michigan.

    No, Rocky mountain has a sxs tire guide on KZread. And they talk about how the carnivores are not DOT approved like the others they showed.
