It is , not taking it away from him, on the other hand MaxPax routinely does blink like micro with stalkers and warp prism which looks as crazy to me.

The precision and speed to micro like that… it makes me wonder if the people that ran the old telephone switchboards (where they transferred calls by physically moving plugs from point A to point B) would be good at StarCraft

I want to see more turtle Clem! You find me a series where he loses by turtling! Funny enough, I feel he and Maxpax are alike in the sense that they both "can't keep it in their pants" often.

I think Maxpax problem was that he wasn't going anywhere. Like he was playing well but he didn't seem to be going anywhere from that position in game 3 Comparing game 3 to game 4 on Alcyone, could it be that game 3 was on a new map? Could MaxPax have just not thought of alternate routes to attack and because of that got stuck attacking that one ramp? Gotta say though it always gets me how careful PiG is of his insight 😄 If you're reading this, you know those people will argue you whatever opinion you have, right? You can just ignore/block them because most people are here exactly because of your insight. Also there's really interesting research about pros, not specific to SC2, and how they're often not the most knowledgeable people on the sport they practice 😄 They've just found a niche that works for them. Like think of Dark 😂 Also there's a big difference between having the knowledge and being able to apply it.

it's all good debate on the game makes us all learn more and pick stuff up. I can always word my criticisms better and explain things better so the push back from people keeps me on point :)

I'm pretty sure terrans are mainly playing tanks because of how good the maps are for them. So many killer tank positions. I doubt they are scared of blink.

Clem playing a much more patient style.

Does MaxPax seem slightly off in this series? Not scouting properly, misread Clem's moves, and the micro is not as efficient as usual. Perhaps it's Clem's turtling with impeccable micro and defense not leaving much room for any game-ending aggression.

Maxpax played extremely well in all the games. Clem's turtling has just gotten insane.

Im a massive storm fan, its easily the biggest reason why im a protoss player, so seeing maxpax not use any storm is heartbreaking to me

I love the longer games (instead of 2 base all-ins) but that last game I was beginning to lose my interest bec it was just them waiting around. It seems like Protoss are more like Zergs now where Terran has to keep fighting them and overcome their income advantage, at times I felt like finally Clem can win and then Maxpax finds away to stabilize again (which I finding more in this patch). I also feel that the early game harrasment from Terran has decreased (prob bec widow mine nerf) which means Clem thinks either not worth the risk and better to just go late game, and tho I like late-game just hope it won't be EVERY game. I think that there should be no more nerfs to Terrans tho bec lot of the fights Clem was playing like a God and he still only edged out a win, and even could have lost because Max Pax wasn't adding Storms. Also seems like if it isn't for Lib range a lot of those games Clem would of lost even tho he played a better than Maxpax.

Lib range got nerfed in the latest patch, and yet strangely enough I haven't seen the Observer nerf ONCE in any game since... That being said, I don't know what "waiting around" you're talking about. Maxpax was constantly attacking and Clem was constantly defending. It was the opposite of what you claimed. As far as early game Terran harass, Maxpax is an extremely aggressive player, forcing Clem to defend. In game one, Clem did indeed do early game harass and got punished heavily for it. It basically cost him the game.

everytime I see tvp in the late game, protoss always lose. I have seen few win but for luck, mismanaged or out of position. emp is always OP for the shields esp for archons with low hp. hope they will remove the emp for shields, they are treating all protoss as energy units but worse because instead of sucking energy they are losing almost equiv to hp which is painful to watch.

There are plenty of games where Protoss wins late game in PvT....

Pig, what are your thoughts on this: 1) Liberator harass forces stalker warp ins late game. 2) Stalkers suck late game. 3) One liberator (2 supply) forces 10 to 12 supply of trash units at late game, which is a huge issue. Therefore: protoss needs a late game, MOBILE solution to Liberators. Zerg has coruptors. One proposed solution: a fleet beacon upgrade to give Phoenix some sort of bonus damage to liberators. Perhaps dmg to mechanical, but not sure.

a single VR does the trick, or cannons on the edges or just 1 stalker avoiding the zone. Problem is on maps where you have to engage into the zone once it's sieged and you actually need to warp in 4 stalkers (8 supply) of trash. Definitely trying to have a VR on cleanup duty (4 supply) or cannons on the very edges can really help in these lategame scenarios.

@@PiGCasts How is the Void Ray a good solution though? It's much more expensive, gets easily shot down by Vikings and has no other purpose in the matchup. Stalkers can still be used in the ground army. I think Cannons on the mineral lines is a better solution. It won't address the army situation, but it will address the harass.

Protoss ignoring one of the best splash units in the game is really dumb. Both Harstem and Maxpax seem allergic to HT. Way worse than Terrans not building ravens

Like at so many points Clems units were just battered by the gateway & colossus or gateway & disruptor, but the battle would be inconclusive because Maxpax didn't have storm & Clem could escape

I don't know why people obsess over Ravens in late game. They really are not that good. People who argue about this must think they pop out of Reactor Barracks for pennies.

Fuckin bs Terran man 😡 Really tho, I imagine pros aren't using templar in late-game PvT because they require too much attention to manage. Same reason burrowed banelings aren't popular

Incredible how easy it is to play Terran at a professional level, your low-priced armies easily defeat armies twice as expensive, and so all the corrupt people who recommend patch changes say that the game is balanced, so every day fewer people see this. very shady management of the balance of a game it is a shame it had everything to be a great game 14 years old with one of the 3 races 40 weakest and they keep saying that it is balanced they deserve to stay the forgot because they were corrupt and inept

@@unapodoahi Terran is my main race but I enjoy all 3 races and I enjoy seeing all the various matchups, including the mirror matchups (PvP is probably my favorite when it comes to those). Claiming this race is easy to play is only something some whiny idiot would say. Why doesn't every pro just make Terran their race if it's that easy? Why would they struggle with 5th place finishes if they could just take the grand prize every time with the easy race? You clearly know less about the game than you think, and if that means you and others like you stop playing it, I'll be glad. Go and watch "LOL" or "CS" if that's the depth of your thinking.

Maxpax is #2 in the world right now and beat Clem handily the last two series they played.

@@kommisar. get the results of the latest championships (in-person and non-in-person), see how many the protoss wins in the end. And MaxPax may be second in the world (I don't know where that ranking is), but it doesn't play in-person championships. In really competitive games, the protoss is embarrassing. The race is limited compared to the others, and the ranking does not reflect reality at all, since most of these points come from championships that no one cares about with average players.

That means he is better than all the Terrans and only worse than 1 Zerg. I guess you missed how many times Maxpax has beaten Clem lately. Oh, he recently beat Byun as well.

lmao on game 3 clem with FIFTY PERCENT more efficiency, with a mixed army of 7 unit types, can barely close a game of a protoss player with zealot, stalker and ball. protoss players lose games because they suck at sc2.
