When I find a good deal on strawberries or other berries I freeze them to use for the next few months. For potatoes I use my instant pot to make mashed potatoes and freeze in containers for an easy side on a busy work night.

Sounds crazy but I never go grocery shopping hungry. I have noticed that if I go there hungry, I end up going off budget

I bulk purchase things like condiments, meats and household stuff with our friends and we split the cost. It’s saved us all a lot of money and we waste less.

Shopping on line got some disadvantages too. For example you can't control the expiration date on a products, or quality of the fresh one. When I shop in the store I pick the best expiration date from the shelf. It is really matter with diary products especially when those products must last you more then week

If you are a "senior" - ask if the store offers discounts. Walgreens offers seniors 15% on brand items, 20% on Walg store brand on the 1st Tuesday of the month for any reg priced item. You need to know your prices tho as sometimes the discount is still not worth the price of the item. Some grocery stores offer senior discount day. In my son's area, that day is Thursday, 5% discount. Ask at the fast food chain restaurants as well. Sometimes their senior discount is a free coffee. Sometimes 10% off your bill.

Hi Bola, I've always cross-referenced the sales ad at different stores. If an item is cheaper I would ask the cashier if they would honor the price at the other store. Sometimes they did and it helped me to save a ton of money. I am always asking if I can use my points. I keep track of this by using the store app. Thanks for the recommendations!

Great idea when you going to other shops. While you doing that gasoline is running out. 😅 taking a smaller basket instead big. Don't go to shop hungry.

How Long can/should you keep meat in the freezer for? Because the most expensive thing on my grocery budget for me is animal meat 😢. I want to see if there's a way i can lessen meat intake and save more money or something.

In your opinion...right? There are others, who may be new to the channel, or the topic, for whom there is plenty of new information. So...what was your real intention, because this comment wasn't, at all, helpful to those trying to better their lives.
