I've been doing regular fishing with a spinning reel for nearly three decades but I'm new to fly fishing and I've been looking at this company for a while so thanks for the review it helps my decision a lot.

Pre spooled is ok unless you're left handed. I prefer to spool my own since they all seem to come left hand retrieve

Damn this is pretty convincing, I want to get into fly fishing ASAP and this is the best review I have found so far. Definitely going to go snoop around at some stores this week and just see what they have in comparison to something like this. Thanks for the badass video man! 🔥🙌

I have the 2wt rod by maxcatch honestly best bang for buck I love it and I have a red zero 2.3 click pawl reel. Extremely well done and an awesome rod!

It’s been three years how’s it holding up

Despite having much more expensive rods, I now own a good half dozen Maxcatch rods. ( Ultralight, V light, Ultraglass and Premier) All are really nice for the $. There Avid and Toro reels are also great values and very well made. My only gripe is that all their rod combo's come with a matching line ( ie 5wt rod comes with 5 wt line). In actuality, near every one of their rods casts significantly better by going up a line size as they tend to be conservatively rated.

I know I have the Premier, the Extreme and I had the 7 piece travel rod way back. All really great rods for the money and still kicking.

So is this combo in the same case as a Clearwater, redington path, field kit lines. Some of those start packages give you cheap plastic reel. So is the rod right with them being that they come from china also

I can’t decide whether to get this one, the KastKing emergence, or the Wild water package. Which one would you choose?

I haven’t tried the KastKing Emergence but I can consult the rest of the team. The Emergence is another great value combo out of China. I’ve always loved The Maxcatch line and the Premier Combo is their top of the line product for still an amazing price. I think either way you’re going to get a great deal but I would personally stick to what I know which in this case is the Maxcatch.

I bought a maxcatch this year an mine actually came prespooled. Different model (alltime traveler) but just an FYI to anyone watching

Hey super useful thanks Bernard! Yeah I'm pretty sure when I bought their Travel Rod a few years back it came with a pre-spooled reel. Super handy.

What if your. Broke but wanna get started on that. What beginner rod combo you recommend brotha. Moneys really tight an well wanna get my kids an myself on some fly fishing brotha

Probably the Maxcatch extreme combo is the best full kit for a super tight budget. It’s not as quality as the premier, but it’s cheaper for sure.

Do you know if these rods come with any sort of warranty? Something that will cover broken tips etc?

I'm pretty sure they have a free warranty for manufacturer faults, but you have to pay for broken tips, replacements etc.

can the reel be switched from left to right?

yes quite easily in most cases it's just a switch when you open the reel.

Wann kommt das Video mit der Aktion der Rute. Mich würde das Wurfverhalten von ihr sehr interessieren. Also ob es Schrot oder einfach nur gut erschwingliche Qualität ist?
