Fredrik, I just rec’d a new Ruana knife, their “Reliable” model. To say I’m impressed is an understatement. I would like to recommend you check them out. It’s a lot different than the other knives you have shown and perhaps you would like to see something different. They’re handmade in Bonner, MT. The tang is cast into the aluminum handle, which makes it virtually an integral. The antler scales are dove tailed into the handle. Both make them very unique. The quality is outstanding. Here’s a short video on how they're made: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nnZ_0K6eZ9e_nbg.html

@@rickc4317 - Thank you for the recommendation! I've actually never heard of them before, but I'm checking out their homepage right now, with the video you linked opened in a new tab! This should be interesting! :)

Wow, what an amazing knife! Congrats on getting that one, Fredrik. No, you sure don't see something like that everyday. I think because it must have been designed for Klingons. 🙂 Your last sentence described it perfectly! Nicely done, once again. Thanks, Fredrik, for another great and in depth review.

Thank you, Rick! I was semi-intrigued with the original Maxace Hive, but some details felt so "off" to me, I decided to skip it altogether. When I saw this re-worked, 2.0-version, I knew I had to get my hands on it. And I don't regret it for a second. It's def. not the most practical blade design, but not super impractical either, though. All in all, a nice and semi-expensive "show piece" to mess around a little with from time to time. :)
