Max Wall Interview
Ойын-сауық
The inimitable Max Wall, my father with a step strutting his stuff teaching a rather stiff backed interviewer the famous walk, whilst discussing taking on Shakespeare's Malvolio at the Greewich theatre London! He was almost 70 when he took on 'serious' acting and achieved his greatest fame in these roles. He was an inspiration and never ever gave up on his 'craft', in spite of many years of horrendous & unjust treatment by the media of the day.
I will be uploading 'ASPECTS OF MAX WALL' from my personal archive. Please subscribe to my channel to be notified when I add anything. Thank you.
If you would like to support his memory and work, there is really well run Max Wall Society, which hosts events, a magazine and much more. If you would like to know more and become a brick, here is the link: www.maxwallsociety.org

Me too Ian - his perspective on life was always so dry, witty, profound and almost always amusing.
A very funny man who kept us laughing for decades.
A unique talent, a gifted all-round performer, no-one like him
A great man.

@@juliechimes-astrangernomore Hi, Julie! Still looking forward to hearing from you. Best wishes, Terry
There is something really seedy about the interviewer going down into the Gent's in his dirty mac!!!

Max Wall like Tommy Cooper, Les Dawson, Ken Dodd, Tim Vine only had to walk on the stage or screen and i'd be laughing, it's in their DNA, Funny Bones!! One of my favourite Max Wall performances was as the King in the wonderful film 'JABBERWOCKY' he's SO SHABBY and his chemistry with John le Mesurier is perfect!!!! So many of those people i love are gone now, but i know that as long as i remember them they live on, Here's to you Max!
Thank you so much for uploading this. There's far too little of this master of comedy on KZread. Would you by any chance have An Evening With Max Wall? I've been trying for years to see it but am unable to source it anywhere.

That’s great, thanks. Always been fascinated by him. My “gateway drug” was his portrayal Uncle Wally in Crossroads… love that he did that as well as the Jarry and Beckett stuff. Also a shout out for “England’s Glory” as National Anthem ( I’d happily sing it … and I’m Scottish!)
I went on as Hamlet and came off as omelette. 😆
Genius.
max was in a drama with don henderson & john castle in it they were all nuts any one know what it was called
MAX WALL'S THE NAME
The interviewer lacked 'flexibility'🤣🤣😳
He was so unfunny.
