I remember watching this when it first aired. It was so surreal that it had me in tears. The previous sketch I’d seen had Ricky’s creation with a pair of stockings over his face describing how he’d taken a prison officer hostage. Then there he was being interviewed by Michael Parkinson! . . . It’s a British comedy gem.

“There are times in life when you have to bat and bowl”. Hilarious line 😂😂

This is amazing! Never seen this before! Excellent stuff. I remember Bulla from about 20 years ago and never saw him after that.

Beautiful timing and impeccable deadpanning with that constant underlying threat that he could turn very nasty at any moment. Comedy gold!

Absolutely brilliant, more of these please, Bulla!

Ricky Grover, so underrated. I feel he always gets the graveyard shift on TV shows, never the spotlight he deserves.

Top man Ricky! He was tucked up during the BFGG film and was let down badly by the makers. He finished the film himself and made something out of it so he wouldn't let down the fellow actors. Always watchable is Ricky.......good on ya Son!

@@robbates3106 Big Fat Gypsy Gangster, watchable but should’ve been great. Apparently Ricky was told that scenes were in the can and it was all going well but they lied leaving him with a mess! Amazing that he stitched anything together but he did! I remember listening to Rufus Hound talk about it and he absolutely loves Ricky for what he did

Not seen this before. Absolutely hilarious. Ricky Grover is brilliant, as always. Michael Parkinson plays a blinder here. He really goes for it and seems to having an absolute blast. When was this shown on TV and on what show? It can't have been on Michael Parkinson's actual chat show, surely.

I remember this guy when he used to do stand up comedy. He did a small venue in Essex and was known at the time as "The Man With The Beard". He was very funny.
