There is something funny about the idea of training with Akuma in world tour and I love it. Like...imagine you just unlock Akuma moves and head back to Ryu to spar. SF6 is straight killing. No other fighter even compares, they did everything every fighting game player asked for and on top of that extended the game with a better, more honest kind of fortnite-esque hub multiplayer. It's just downright amazing work. This reminds me so much of how Capcom handled Monster Hunter World. They know, they KNOW, how to bring their games beyond the decades.

This is honestly pretty impressive. An expansive create-a-character mode, arcade mode, audio cues for the visually impaired, and an actual tutorial where the game explains how and when to use a certain move instead of just throwing the player into an unfamilliar situation with just a button prompt and no context. I love this approach to accessibility of "let's give player more tools to learn the game" instead of stripping mechanics away for the sake of "simplicity".

Alongside the "Punish Counter" indicators in World Tour, I think the goddamn FRIDGES are actually also a teaching tool as well, from the looks of it, they just sit there and try to zone you the fuck out, which is in turn of course going to lead to "Maybe I should learn how to not get zoned by a fridge throwing meat at my head"

I'm with you. I wasn't even thinking about getting this game, but this single player world tour is amazing.

I think I just figured out why Capcon is doing this open-world thing. Capcon wants more new players to the series and fighting games. Instead of dumping all the tutorials on new players, they put players into an RPG game. One thing that RPG game has is a sense of growth. Players start with a limited skills tree and stats. And when they get used to the current skill pool, the game slowly introduce a little bit more new skills and mechanics. 12:35 You can see that you need to unlock to have more special move. The whole OpenWorld part is a tutorial for the fighting game. If Capcon can pace it well, whoever plays through the story should have decent skill to enjoy the PVP games.

@@pn2294ust having an arcade mode isn’t enough anymore especially with prices now rising to $70 and I mean let’s be honest it’ll go up again at some point in a few years. Fighting games(other than netherrealm games they’ve always been good about this) have always had a lacking content problem that’s why so many casual players drop out of them so quickly. Well that and the fact that frankly most fighting games have always been pretty poor at teaching people how to play them. The tutorials give you the basics but from there you kinda have to just teach yourself or watch people like Max on KZread because there are always not only universal mechanics but stuff varies wildly from character to character. Why do you think the mortal Kombat games sell so much? It’s because they have so much to offer not just to people who wanna compete online but also casual players who like single player content as opposed to stuff like street fighter or guilty gear which is usually pretty barebones at launch and for years after as well. Now street fighter and others are finally turning the corner it seems and trying to offer more than just a barebones experience that most people quit playing after a week

Their definitely taking a page out of Splatoon's book where the World Tour mode is a semi tutorial for mutiplayer that slowly teaches you everything about how the game works and what you can expect from standard matches. You get a taste of every characters moveset because your using those moves to build your avatar and so get a basic idea how the entire roster plays during mutiplayer.

The amount of content in form of a love letter for the fans given by Capcom is crazy awesome

yeah underestimating how slowdown effects the basic understanding of combos is something that happens a lot. Fighting games are usually very fast and hard to grasp the moment you actually need to press the buttons to link strings together. I only played Under Night that had this slow down feature and while I didn't have to use it often it lets you really get a visual feel for the timing

What I love about the game is that they seem to have packed so much content into it, you are unlikely to discover everything even if you played non-stop for a few weeks. That's incredible! A ton of heart and creativity has gone into this game.

SF6 is making the greatest comeback after what SFV was , honestly the amount of content and things you can do in this game is awesome and never seen before in a fighting game ( except maybe MK ) , hopefully every fighting game developed in the future is being taken care and made with love like this one 👍

This game just looks so damn amazing.

This is honestly shaping up to be everything I've ever wanted in a fighting game from the last 30 years rolled into 1 game. I'm so hyped for this game after this reveal!

World Tour has potential for some serious longevity. I hope it give you the option to have a list of different avatars that you can create and build different move sets and fighting styles.

World tour mode is essentially looking like everything I've ever dreamed of. It's a fighting game RPG. I've always wanted a fighting game rpg. It started way back in Mortal Kombat Deception's Konquest mode and I really wanted something that was focused on that. A big open world area that you can explore and then when you get into combat, it turns into 2D. Similar to an RPG we are running around an open world you get into combat and it becomes turn-based.

I lost it at Carlos. Now I'm imagining all the Capcom characters I'll meet with. Gene from Godhand, Arthur from Ghouls & Ghosts, and Rouge from Power Stone.

The biggest thing from this showcase for me was the new tutorial mode features I’m “decent” in fighting games but always struggled with execution and timing. Being able to slow down the example and get the timing right is going to help me so much

Lil Wayne saved Street Fighter.

A detail about the upgrade tree that I like is that it works like a tournament bracket. You choose which stat buff to win and you get the last one being the champ of the bracket.

I love that they're making street fighter a lot more accessible to those new players who have never touched the series and struggle with connecting moves and combos! Giving them the ability to practice all of those things with those toggles is just amazing

World Tour takes everything Soulcalibur every did with its various character creation story modes and make it so much better. This is great. Also this looks like a very Yakuza-esque open world I love it.

I speculated that the avatar combat was gonna be something similar to Dragon ball Xenoverse where you can learn moves from all the different characters and have a move set that mixes Chun li's normals with Marisa's specials and Ken's supers. When that Ken trailer dropped, I was so happy to find that I was right.

No voice acting outside of the true main cutscenes, abilities and features that don't make any sense and we still got no explanation about JP or any other char outside of Luke in the story. Also the CAC in battle hub give you way too much freedom which was already a huge mistake in Soul Calibur games. Only the Fighting Ground looks good, and that is not worth a full price.

@@lightup6751 Yeah, emphasis on 'good'. SFV at launch wasn't good at all. All it had was a super watered down story mode and 'survival' mode, and then they added an arcade mode later. Sure, SFV today is decent, but it's nothing on this. The fact that SF6 is seemingly gonna feature all of that but better, and the story mode is essentially a fully fleshed out action RPG, is the part that's mindblowing.

@@killertoadstools My point is that SF5 had more single player content even at launch than any other SF. It was always just arcade with character endings, no true story mode. We never had a good single player mode in SF since SF1. SF5 wasn’t some odd exception.

THIS SHOWCASE WAS INSANE SO MANY THINGS ON A FIGHTING GAME

My first feel from the adventure mode is, that it kinda looks like free roam from yakuza series, where you can encounter fights on the streets, do some substories, even eating and using your inventory in fight shares that gameplay, which i think is perfect for fighting game. Simple and effective combination. The adventure mode is gonna hook people in for dozens of hours and they will subtly learn the game and then enjoy online part of the game. I also absolutely love full custom characters with own movesets duking it out in battle hub! Good Job Capcom, cant wait to play it!

This stream was so slick. Using the special in game animations like supers and outros as transitions is such a small detail but made it so cool

One of my favorite things about Soul Calibur's CAC mode was the special styles like Wave Swords, Daggers, and Greave Edges - they weren't nearly as fleshed out as the playable characters' styles, but it was nice being able to do something different. In the same vein, I hope SF6 has moves from characters who aren't in the roster, in order to add some variety and depth. Today's info gives me hope, since Carlos showed a unique move in the trailer and Max's playthrough of the demo showed CACs using unique moves like knives and molotovs.

Oh, I guarantee you there will be moves, if not entire movesets, from characters who aren't in the roster (yet?) Personally, that's how would sneak in SNK characters into the game. There's a whole lot of stuff that can be recycled from CvS2, just as a starting point.

I'm definitely buying sf6, and this might be the first street fighter I really dive into. It just has everything I want in a fighting game. Didn't really get into sf4 and sf5 but this one is definitely it.

Nah, not really, I mean, 1 button dps are strong, but in almost every other way modern controls are very limiting, and at the highest level every single normal counts, so I'd say playing on modern would be a disadvantage

I'm not that great at fighting games, but after playing the demo, the differences between the two are pretty noticeable. Modern is definitely a "lesser" way to play. Fine for average playing, or playing with your friends, but at any decent lvl it's going to put you at a disadvantage

modern control specials/supers do less damage lol

I think the biggest draw back of modern (if they haven't taken it out yet) is that it does 20% less damage. At the highest levels, that's a handicap you really don't want.

Thank god they have a ton of content for people that do not care about doing online battles constantly. It can really open up the game to even more people.

When it’s all said and done this could end up being the best selling street fighter of all time. I know 2 sold a lot over all it’s different versions but this has the potential to do better

I'm pretty sure the World Tour would give us the tools and confidence to play online

This seems like the best tutorial to a fighting game I've ever seen. You start with nothing and no complicated inputs but as you train up in a style you get the more advanced shit. It's such a cool way of limiting the overwhelming feelings a new a player gets when playing fighting games. Tekken better have something major in their pocket for singe player content.

I would love to see a team battle in tournaments... it wouldn't be for evo but seeing people strategy and their mastery over multiple characters would be dope

I’m so glad this game is beginner friendly. I’m really bad at traditional fighting games. This game feels like it has everything, dare I say the definitive fighting game experience

Same, i literally could not ask a fighting game to do more to get me interested, got my pre-order ready and can't wait to dive into world tour and fighting ground while i build core muscle memory

Fighting game's are gonna absolutely blow the competition this year with the way this is! If Street Fighter 6 is already this crazy can you imagine Tekken? Dude im unbelievably hyped!

They literally took everything that Mortal Kombat/Injustice was doing with their single player and their gear and straight up gave it to their create a character. They're allowing gear stats augments, different "test your luck" type modes. This is amazing.

it feels like we're finally harkening back to the days of the early 2000s where singleplayer content had just as much importance as the fighting mechanics themselves and i couldn't be happier. i do sincerely hope Netherrealm takes note of this and brings back Konquest for MK12, the potential there is so fucking palpable.

i teared up at the fact that this is genuine effort and its refreshing

I just love the idea of expanding the universe of Street Fighter. I recently went back to play Championship Edition on Sega Genesis with my 6 button Sega controller and man, when I was a kid, I always wanted more content after playing through the arcade mode with all the characters. This game will finally bring that dream to life.

This game is astounding. The amount of content, features, and little things. Really amazing stuff.

They're giving Street Fighter the Yakuza: Like a Dragon treatment and I'm here for it

I think the reason Capcom took so long with this release was to respond to the years of frustrations players had with all partialized releases and DLC gimmicks. They have put so much into this that I wonder what else they could add to it for it's season passes other than new characters to pad out it's 18 character roster? Either way I can't wait to play this Summer and really sink my teeth into it's 1-Player mode. Reminds me a lot of Yakuza in that mode.

They really did try to cram as many options and modes in as possible. The love is there, and I'm excited to check it out.

as a casual player I haven’t played street fighters because of its lack of casual / arcade options … this game checks all those boxes and I will be for the first time buying a street fighter years and years , really blown away by this …

Probably the best fighting game presentation we've ever seen for any game. The only other game I can think of that grabbed our attention as much as it did was probably Smash Ultimate, but it is going to be rather hard to top what we saw here.

Damn team battles reminding me of Soulcalibur 2, team battles. This shit is going to be fine in a friend group vs a friend group team battle. I really hope that Yun and Yang come back later into the series maybe in the second wave. I’m really loving the in game art and styles being displayed. We can really see them putting their 150-200% in the game and I wouldn’t want it any other way!

So much awesome stuff. And as a CS student, the accessibility options in fight mode are super impressive.

This has been the most exciting bit of SF6 info I've heard, hands down. I'm a filthy, scrubby casual and World Tour seems like such a good way for me to REALLY get in there and enjoy the world and characters of Street Fighter/Final Fight, which is what I've wanted more than anything else.

Separate comment, but Max being blown away about how much information Capcom is willing to give out about SF6 seems to be a theme.

They keep finding ways to surprise me with all the cool shit they put in this game.

the slow option and the audio indicators are gonna do so much for beginners (like me), now I can finally understand timing and distance

@@RoyArkon There's way more effort being put into SF6 to give people a comprehensive fighting game experience and teach newer players how to have fun. Grinding towers automatically and endlessly in an NRS game is just worthless content meant to monopolize your time. Sure it might appeal to a certain people but it is by no means comprehensive and isn't meaningful to getting people to enjoy fighting games for the fighting.

The amount of content is ridiculous and I'm loving it. Can't wait, especially for World Tour mode.

You have no idea how long I wanted a fighting game with slow motion in the training mode. I think SF6 is the first one to implement that.

The casual gamemodes look so fun I can't wait to try them

I remember when I just got my first console as a kid sometime in 98, passed down to me by my older cousin, SNES with SF2 Turbo, and fell in love with the series. It is amazing to see how far this game has come. It is no longer just Street Fighter, but Street Fighter world, this game will be perfect for beginners, casual and competitive players. Fighting games can be difficult for many and hard to get started with, but with this, they are going to capture an entire new generation of audience. Well done Capcom

You can see that a lot of love has been put in this game.

Akumas hair is white whereas before in his art, it was red so i wonder if they changed it to now hes always in shin mode? Since shin was supposed to be peak akuma. Or maybe im just wrong.

Absolutely incredible and playing the game for the first time is a lot of fun. Loving Sf6 👊

I think most die-hard SF fans knew that the 4 DLC characters were those specific ones. They will definitely be extending the life of SF6 for quite some time. There are many characters that could potentially be in SF6 as DLC. I'm hoping for Makoto, Menat, Dudley, and A character like Gen or Zeku. Have a feeling that the Sagat, Balrog, Vega, and Bison will be added since they are such classic characters. The Demo is very short. I thought I would be able to get some different special moves. It ends when you starrt looking for your first Master which is Chun Li. Yet, there is a tutorial of sorts and you can play VS mode against the CPU or friends at home up to 3 matches before starting the game again.

I haven't played Street Fighter for a few generations. This one is gonna bring me back I am feelin.

I'm playing the beta right now. The game is so fun! Even as an noob I'm getting a hang of the combat and mechanics.
