Max it out! Max out Roth IRA first, then 401k!
Contribute till it hurts. Like you said ya can always get to the cash if ya really need it. Plus there’s not anything to spend money on now anyways, so stash it in the 401k. You’ll be amazed at how little taxes you’ll pay, may even get eligible for low income tax credits. That’s right the government will pay you money for savings your own money.
