The new album project is full of scores to infinite visualisations, so it needed some spacey synth noodlings to match. It's the first time I've made a live improvised piece of music, it gives it a different feel, less precise arrangement, constant patch morphing and more flow. Something to get lost in hopefully. Myself on synths, Six Sigma on bassline, and Adam Betts on drums. I added some detailing later and the big retro snare etc, but the core synth and basslines that run throughout came from that initial jam session.
The track is called 'Parting Ways', and is set to a video sequence by the awesome Maxime Causeret, telling the story of creation via endless division. You'll see the references to old video projects in there too, it was one part of the new story which overlapped with some old ones.

MAXIME CAUSERET:
I've tried to start from a very simple element a box and make it split again and again in order to create more complex structures. It ends up to the universe splitting into multiverses that loops back to this box splitting and splitting again, in an infinite loop. As a funny fact, I often get crazy scales while zooming out, with a few unexpected bugs like min and max slope values in Houdini animation editor. I hope you will enjoy this animation. I have to thanks 2 collaborators that helps me on this project: Leslie Murard and Gratien Vernier.

I hear the Reading Rainbow synth and it makes me happy. ✊🏽
This one is what the epiphany that a consciousness that was aware of how to make new existences of consciousness would make them better, felt like.
When you access 100% of your brain and ascend
The power of sound is compelling. At any moment everything can fall apart and eventually it will. I am but a wave, lost in the noise. There is an abundance of fear, and a scarcity of answers. And yet these tones resonate as though they were divine truths. I humbly thank you for the purity of this medicine.
came here for the relaxing music... stayed for the epic mesmerizing visuals.
It's easy to forget how miraculous it is that we even exist...

Knowing that there are (a lot of) microbes across our star system (and possibly across the known universe), I would consider it more to be an inevitably rather than a miracle.

Really? Stuff like this makes me realize how inevitable it is that we exist
One of the most accomplished music videos ever made. Who's been working 10 times more than they've probably been paid for, except the musician(s) of course?
"What's in that box??" _Oh... just a little of everything_
Something in this reminds me of Reading Rainbow. That's a good thing. Imagination, creation.
A more beautiful song; there are none.
From the fundamental building blocks, to the infinite cosmos. Trapped in a loop. Lovely work!
youtube recommended me something beautiful! today is a good day
For Me - EPIC ❤
Absolutely enamoured by to he artistry in your songs. They speak to the language of craziness going on in my head all day with musings and noises, hopes and fears for Earth's future. And nobody is able to articulate that with storytelling visuals like Maxime Causeret!
Not only this is visually pleasing, it is deep
Max, you and your colleagues have done beyond beautofully. Maxime, hats off. Thank you guys.
The sound and visuals just take me elsewhere...with no worries.. Just bliss....Thank you.
Gotta love them strange-loops.

This is the most important video I have ever seen

WOW. Beyond incredible. I really wish Alan Watts and Terence McKenna could watch your videos.
Brutal !!! A new Techno & Electronica has kicked off !! You really amazed me...cool
This is an EPIPHANY, visualised.
OMG... absolutely fantastic! Love how those synths evolve with the track. This is next level music, and next level visuals!
Real Art...
mind blowing awesomeness, reminds me of a famous stanley kubrick movie.🚀
I'd honestly like to know what alien race Max is. He's some kind of super genius and advanced being. It's pretty obvious that he's beyond human and trying to show us (humans) a lot of things we need to understand. Thanks for sharing your knowledge Max. Those of us who love you are constantly listening, learning and expanding.
Wow! Amazing. Gives me so much pleasure watching and listening to this gem.❤
Skipping round 'musics' and beginning to get bored, THEN I hit a gem-mine like this and spirit is restored. Thank you.
Genius
This video might be the best one yet, and this song is likely to be one of my favorites. Thanks again for another gem

Lovely music and video definitely provides an escape
Absolutely profound. Great job.
Really really really great work Max, truly inspirational.
these beautiful pieces of audio and visual artwork have me captivated since i saw your order from chaos video. It's amazing, thank you
Wow 😯
Truly an amazing track! The percussion in its infancy is adorable. The track just rolls and rolls. I wish I knew ANYBODY that digs this sort of fodder. To me, this is what I am supposed to know and love. I send tracks to others, and get mostly no reply or resistance. A thought: Keep church and state separate. Be well, All

I will add... that once you send such a track to a "comrade " and it is not well-received or "meh," that kinda eats a dick. I chalk it up to diffs of opine, yet my butt still hurts a little🙃 Just want to be the guy kinda blazing paths for others

@CugnoBrasso

@@michaeldavis623 Perhaps I shouldn't have said that, it all boils down to personal taste. I always wanted to study either music or chemistry, but when I was in high school one of my teachers basically said that I was too stupid to study chemistry, so I switched to biochemistry (which was easier, or at least that's what they told me). I hated every second of it, except for the biology-free parts in which I had to learn chemistry (keep in mind that I don't really like biology, so that was probably my problem). I then did my Masters degree in chemistry, and that's where my life started to come together. So yeah, forget I told you not to choose biochemistry. The bottom line is: choose whatever you want and don't let any shithead tell you that you're too stupid to do what you want to do. If biochemistry fascinates you, go for it. It didn't work for me, but I wish somebody told me that I'm not too stupid to learn chemistry back when I was younger and naive. I wish you all the best for your future, I'm sure it will be bright no matter what you end up doing.
Muchas gracias!.
