You could actually see that in the film. They had a tense relationship. They work together but you could see they weren’t friendly. That really helped the movie in my opinion.

Makes both of them even better actors in my book. To not get along, and still give a hell of a performance that the audience believes. That couldn't be easy

'Furiosa' was shot on location, dude. The Mad Max franchise takes place in Australia. And you'd probably be mind-blown if you know how many VFX shots were present in 'Fury Road'.

You mean him. He was the problem. He made george miller wish he chose someone else. Its one thing for your co-star to hate you. But when the director hates you, you’re not doing your job. He was notoriously late. Imagine filming in the middle of a desert and you have to sit in a truck for 2 hours with the windows down waiting for some dipshit.

It's definitely normal to have to work with a person you don't get along well with. Happens to the most of us. At least they all are real enough to admit it. I'm so looking forward to the next installments of this film! Fury road was just absolutely incredible!!

And then you have that scene with the extras and Joe telling them "You look amazing!!!!"

Tom and Charlize are both amazing, top tier actors.. it happens sometimes on set.. im sure there aren’t any real hard feelings, and at the end of the day the underlying tension between the two performers made for good character dynamics in the film, we can almost sense the intensity between the characters..

Both characters didn’t get along and both are method actors so they both probably had a mutual understanding it wasn’t personal.

"Hate is just love with an error in the code." They're just one understanding away from being unable to keep their hands off of each other. You can only hate when there's an emotional connection to induce strong emotion. Otherwise, you just don't care, instead of hatred, you get indifference.

Because Theron showed up early every day and Hardy was often 1-3 hours late. That was the crux and I’d be pissed af too. That’s some mental case crap being paid millions and making an entire film crew wait on your ass.

I remember hearing Charlize say in an interview that it was easier for them to use a more method approach when interacting on set. The environment definitely played a role, that type of dynamic could never happen on a volume.

Well, there is also the fact that Mad Max was just guest starring in his own movie. It was more Furiosa's story than anyone else's. I enjoyed the movie immensely but Max was just a supporting character. So much so that he didn't even get another movie. They mistakenly thought we wanted a Furiosa movie. Tom did pick and choose when to lash out on such occasions yet never boisterous or aggressively the two kids mentioned witnessed all or most altercations. Including behind the scenes

from what i've read, Tom Hardy was quite unprofessional during the production, coming in late and annoying charlize, who was always on point. He also clashed with George Miller because nobody understood what Miller was doing and got frustrated. They only understood it when they watched it years later (movie was mostly made in 2012 and released in 2015)

I mean both of their characters literally have negative emotions in their names...
