Mavic Air 2 Problem Connecting to Controller - Dealing with DJI and the Outcome

After the failure of my #mavicair2 a couple of months ago I contacted ‪@DJI‬ for support and eventually returned my drone to DJI for repair assessment.
In this video I talk about the process of getting my drone repaired and offer advice on how to hopefully achieve a good outcome if you're ever in the situation I was in.

    Exactly the same problem with the same product here. I believe their firmware update is the problem. I’ve not been able to fly this thing at all.

    I'm so happy for your outcome..I myself had a similar situation..called dji about a ruff guess on a repair that was already looked at and said ,imu troubles..but imu doesn't stop a drone remote link up per dji.. not being able to purchase a motherboard nor a imu from dji here in America I was forced to sell my dream drone because there being no way to pay for a unknown amount pluse the price of the drone..and because of my background I would have been able to easily install and calibrate..but at 60 I'm to old for a new fight.. By the way..did I mention that the drone was a mavic 2 Enterprise dual with thermal.. ment..with all the attachments.. Now DJI really did me good once with a refresh on a drone i destroyed,,,but i did pay to obtain that luxury.. But it being still less than 30 days loosing my dream drone because of ..well I don't know what to call there lack of simply telling me a price of 2 different parts new ..and me stating ill buy eather with no warranty... But it is as it is.. I still have 6 drones from them I've taken years to get..but ,,,,,darn my dream drone I had in my home ..and had to resell from a lack of good business. I still hope to have another Enterprise thermal 1 day before I'm dead...dreams are dreams...regardless of a taste left in your mouth.

    i'm going threw the same thing with dji they sent me a replacement drone different serial numbers spent more than 4 hours this is just to fix there screw up

    that's what i came to just stressed and i got a call from california and gave me a email directly to support and sent them the problem and yet to hear back now it's been an hour and a half

    If they sent you a replacement drone I'd be pretty happy with that outcome - I spent a lot longer than 4 hours dealing with DJI before I got one 😄. Was your Air 2 out of warranty? It is so frustrating that this problem seems to be a "known issue" around a firmware update. They keep denying it but this is something they should be taking responsibility for. Unless they think that the Air 2 is now old enough that most owners won't make a fuss and will just buy a new one instead?? *** Come on DJI, do the right thing and 'fess up, I won't be buying another DJI product until you do! ***

    I have experience the same thing my Dji mini se stop pairing but I’m getting a replacement

    No a part failed and they had to fix it free

    Same here they offer discount but hoping for free charge cause I know it was cause by the system updates

    Thanks for taking the time to watch my video "Mavic Air 2 Problem Connecting to Controller - Dealing with DJI and the Outcome". I think the title should have told you what to expect. I couldn't find a DIY fix for this problem without replacing the mainboard so it needs to be returned to DJI (or another repair agent). What I was trying to say in the video is that this is now a well known issue to DJI. While they obviously don't want to do free repairs, if you deal with them in the correct way that's exactly what they may offer you. Apologies if you feel it was a waste of your time.     Yeah, 20 minutes to explain that DJI repaired his hardware problem. Loved the 30 seconds of blank video too.
