Can you tell me .. I bought a mavic pro 2 .. first drone every.. Number one is it in obstacle avoidance right from factory or is that something I have to enable..

This is the first time I’ve seen a KZreadr use parallel correctly. Most put the drone at a 45 degree angle. This provides a more cinematic shot but this isn’t what the manufacturer intended for that mode. Parallel should be at a 90 degree. Despite this most youtubers claim it doesn’t work without admitting that they weren’t using it as intended. In this video it was used properly and it worked. Kudos for that.

I havent use active track neither for mavic pro, because you had to dive to the menus to activate it and it was not so reliable (But The good think was that with mavic pro learned to get cinematic shots manually.) Now that i ve got the mavic air 2 i use active track a lot.

I love your videos Devin, it amazes me that you only have 2.78k subscribers, your videos are really well put together, I am struggling to get to 1k subscribers myself. I watched your video on how to edit the parallax look and learnt a lot from it, however you use premier pro and although i do have that it is sluggish on my Imac with 32 gb memory, where as the final cut pro x works great. subbed and liked with a thumbs up bud, great content.

Great video... when you rode in the woods, it looked like you put the controller in your pack... Did you do anything special to prevent your pack from accidentally hitting the control sticks? Is it possible to fly the Air 2 with just a phone, and use active track so you can simply put your phone in your pocket once active track is started?

Where did you put the controller. Do you need it out on your bike or can you put it in your backpack?

You i just want to ask where did you put your controller and phone while you are riding and bicycle using that active track it it in your bag?

Devin - Do you know if the bottom obstacle avoidance sensor would keep you from crashing if you wanted fly over a corn field for example.

Good question. I may have to look into that. I didn’t test that specifically but that’s work checking out.

I just got my Mavic Air 2 today. Have there been a few firmware updates since you got your Mavic Air 2? I'm asking because the activetrack worked better for you in the trace mode from the front and from the side in parallel mode than others I've seen trying out those functions.

Awesome! I hope you enjoy it, I haven’t seen any updates recently, there may have been one as soon as I got it but mainly just firmware updates to the battery. My advice is to just make sure to start the drone in the position you want it to track in. 👍

@@devinjtatro When I got it powered up, it downloaded and installed firmware version 01.00.0130, which is apparently the newest version. I haven't flown it yet, but just charging the batteries up and the controller. I've been flying the Mavic Pro for the last 3 years, and I'm glad to have the Mavic Air 2 with occusync 2.0 and APAS.

Yeah! Good stuff, I am coming from the mavic pro 1 as well this one was the first one I thought worth the upgrade with all the features plus price range. I think it’s a great update for a lot of people coming from a mavic pro 1. I plan to make a review / comparison on the 2 hopefully 👍

Use a more faster sped challenge test like 70 kph

Was it possible to ride the bike even slower? What's the reason to try the drone at unreal spead?

I got in my car and had the drone hovering about 6 or 7 feet high right in front of me....I drew the box around my car, hit Go and Record and then began driving down the road and towards the drone and it did not back up or TRACE/FOLLOW me. I actually drove right under it and it seemed the camera was following me but the drone was not moving.....I clicked on Active Track, Trace and Go....when I got out of the car and began walking into the yard it did follow me...but it seems something was wrong or I did something wrong....can't imagine what it was though because we just watch these videos and then do the same thing

DJI Mini NOT reconizing SKIER in Ski Clothes and Helment - Tried Active track on Ski Area today. When activing active track it would find me but then turn off and say something like Only track people or vechicals. Tried moving closer but same thing. Frustrating.

Where did you leave/put the controller when in active track mode? :)

Took the joy sticks off and put it I my backpack!

My Mavic Air 2 won’t follow me on my motorcycle. I use the DJI Fly app and it says it can only follow a car or a person, how did you get it to follow you?
