Base or helped class is not a special thing. If you are using testng, you may have your before and after suite or other common stuff which may be used by other tests. The name can ne anything

I don't see the connection between maven and data providers sundhar. Data providers videos are there under data driven test playlist. Please refer them. Maven is just a build tool.

It's not universal or any strict rule based one. Make sure u have step definitions package, and individual definitions class inside them. And have a common definition class. Utilities package, under resources folder have the feature files. Create packages for page objects and store them in respective classes. Keep a constants class. That's it.

There are a significant percentage of people who are still using maven. I agree gradle has more features. LAO is intended for absolute beginners who have no experience in coding at all. Maven will be a better choice for beginners to understand the basics. Having said that, gradle will also be covered in future post completion of all the basic technologies.

You are referring to testing, in the video i meant the whole idea with respect to software engineering. You can apply this to testing as well, are we doing the right product and when decided to do, are we doing it in the right way. This is the general idea for these two.
