that's for the hull, which is the V1 prototype, the turret is from the V2 and the interior was wrecked when the Germans blew it up also the soviets just gutted the thing, there's nothing left inside

I just got the Maus too! Repaired it to fully functional condition it was super hard and took me a few hours but now it is in my museum

Great to hear, yeah it's a big tank. Fun one to restore that's for sure.

Nice video! You can actually go into the interior by going to the menu where you can see the inside eof the vehicle. Just press "Get Inside" and select the appropriate crew station. You can still use the tool belt in there. It's also a lot easier to use numbers for the tool belt.

Me: "Good luck finding parts for that."

it took me a full hour to renovate the Maus, and I got it from an extraction mission, not the yard, so it was in better shape

Too bad that wargaming lied that they would restore this monster just for a publicity boost, and to this day nothing came of it.

it wasnt a publicity boost, some speculate wargaming wasnt ready for it, to put simply they probably didnt do enough research and did the video first before looking what kind of part and money were needed. it probably cost too much as everything need to be custom made even the engine. not to mention the kubinka museum it was in was built around the maus.

Funny enough I stumbled across this and I'm scratch building a interior for my maus tank and this was worth watching and don't hurt the stug

comparing your height to things like the tiger, your camera height is at around 7 feet high, so that's probably why it feels like that

Fun fact did you know the maus that exist today was assemble using part of both maus v1 and v2 since the German destroyed both tank to avoid their capture and some part where to damage to be restored so the one of today is the v1 and v2 combined into one

Can’t you use the radial menu to move to the various positions? Haven’t played in a while so not sure if it’s still there.

2 things: 1 I can't get a Maus to spawn anywhere in my game. Like I tryed the scrap yard and digging missions for the last 3 weeks or so but nope. 2nd. Even though I didn't find one jet I counted how many individual parts this vehicle has in the game. Without the engine, hull and turret being counted as individual pieces, the Maus has 619 parts. About 200 are for the running gear alone. About 150 - 200 parts are bolted and there are about 15 parts that can't be repaired with tools

All I do is find the tanks repair everything I can; remove it all; buy all the missing parts; then put it all back together again.

yes the maus is one of the largest tanks but actually i think the cahr 2c is bigger tho still both are huge

You can go In to the interior of the tank by selecting the crewmember you want to sit at

Giving one of history's largest tanks a name like "Maus" was _definitely_ an inside joke by the engineers. I don't wanna believe otherwise.

they named the smallest "tank" (its more of a tracked anti-tank mine) "Goliath" so yeah i'd say its an inside joke

tried playing the game abbout a week ago. didnt get far. as soon as i started a new game or loaded a save the entire ground would dissapear and i would just keep falling

The Maus had an aircraft engine, likely a Daimler-Benz V12. Uboats had much larger diesels such as a supercharged 9 cylinder that wouldnt fit in the hull of a maus.

The DB509 was derived from the 600 series which were aircraft engines. However, the 509, and proposed 517, were purpose built engines for tanks and locomotives(?).

Interiour of maus looks like interiour of U-BOAT from das-boat movie, i can bet there is enough space in it to place torpedo from that era in it

Ps you can take everything off the tanks and you can outsource repairs

What do you mean you "can't get inside"? You can go and sit in every seat that held a crew member, in every tank in the game. ? This is the best spot to see "secret" parts that need to be fixed but are otherwise hidden from view.

I mean, I had that reaction when getting my first Tiger after nothing but T-34s, halftracks, Panzer IIIs and a Sherman. Then I got the freakin' Maus and after the Tiger, Panther and King Tiger my reaction was just "Oh god, this is going to take forever, isn't it?"

No the tank with the type VII U-boat electric moters was the p1000 ratte the largest tank ever designed no prototypes were made as it would need a shipyard for construction

Sprocket is on pause for a couple of days, yesterdays video had a issue, and I am still rather annoyed by it.

I wish i could play this game properly but when i played it my character would vibrate up and down quickly and violently which was an eye sore as well as just being really annoying, glad you aren't having the same issue

if memory serves, the maus has a.....120mm CANNON? something like that for its main gun and a 75mm hull cannon. At least thats what Warthunder had for its guns.
