Maurice Friedman was my teacher's teacher at Temple University. My teacher, in addressing me dialogically: with openness to who I was and affirming my person, was the first time in my life where I felt seen. It was a transformative experience. Living dialogically has helped me in my process of healing from the wounds of patriarchy. I cannot express the level of gratitude I have for Maurice Friedman and his work in bringing Martin Buber's work further into the world.

thank you for posting this. I am still waiting for m the day that Dr. Friedman is part of a documentary film. He so richly deserves it !

Deeply saddened to learn about Maurice's passing on Sept. 25. He will long remain an inspiration for his embodiment of dialogue--the life of dialogue. His legacy is a profound one.
