Grazie infinite per aver condiviso questo video della grande Maureen. Purtroppo non essendo anglofono riesco a capire pochissimo di ciò che dice nella conversazione, e del testo del brano ironico (credo) e buffo che canta. Ma il solo vederla mi consola, e le sono tanto grato per essere stata il grandissimo Contralto che è stata. In Mon coeur s’ouvre à ta voix, l’arte, la commozione, la musicalità perfetta, fanno sì che Maureen, a 66 anni, conservi intatta la sua grande dignità artistica.

I like that she's playful and candid. I love the way she sings with her hands! I saw her in a Christmas concert in an Old Montreal Church

I knew Maureen Forrester as an opera singer and didn't know she could sing Broadway style. Very interesting to listen to an old TV show of Pamela Wallin, which I used to watch back then. When the singer mentions her work at Casey house (?), very touching. How easy to forget how AIDS was experienced and perceived by back then.
