Mau and his family should have been living a comfortable life. He gave so much and nothing in return. What a HEART.

Koro (Senior person) Mau Pialug taught with his wisdom and knowledge of long voyage across Te Moana nui a Kiva (Pacific Ocean). It was his purpose his destiny. 2023 all the knowledge imparted by Koro Mau Pialug is alive with a passion throughout Te moananui a Kiwa (Pacific Ocean). The Pacific ocean does not separate us. it brings us together. One people. E koro e te Ika Tohora (To my Senior, Mau Pialug, the lead Whale of migration) kua ea (It is completed). E rere e rere nga rangi tuhaaha (traverse the be-spaced dimensions) . E kore e mutu te mihi aroha atu ki a koe. (The love will never cease for you Koro Mau Pialug.) Moe mai (Be at rest).

We Micronesians still holding it down for our ancestors !! Yet Polynesians still hold the title of circum navigating the Pacific! We proved it! Long live Micronesian navigation!

Fancy nika the first navigators were the first to go, and the last taught navigators are the last to go. The only reason why Polynesians lost navigation is due to the Europeans outlawing it. That's the truth that's been neglected from media and main stream science.

Fancy nikka we are one...when mau teach nainoa and shorty along with his son sessario.he wish a canoe for micronesia.cause only polynesian can built a massive real canoe..so it can be a reason why he teach poly cause micronesia lost the way to build a big and massive canoe so same for poly .they have and still can built the canoe but they lost the navigate part...WE ARE ONE!

Tulensru Jerry Our designs are single sailed and hauled type of canoes. We never had enormous vessels. And we haven't lost both building tradition along with the navigation. That part of our culture remains alive and well to this day.I'm actually writing a book to preserve it all.Currently an apprentice learning from my Marshallese kinsmen.Theres already an establishment that teaches those wishing to learn.
