"Hey kids!, We're all just the same what a shame." that's probably my favorite lyric as well. The way Matty explained it, is how I feel about it. What an incredible band.

julie _ pretty sure Matty has never used the wrong form of the word narcissism though. And sorry for not knowing everything all of the members of the band have ever said. I guess watching some interviews and having all their albums doesn't count as being a "true fan" 🙄

The song that's most personal to me 0:13 The song that reveals the most about me 1:21 The oldest song on the album 1:55 The song that's most fun to play live 2:34 The song I nearly gave to One Direction 3:27 The lyrics Americans misunderstand the most 4:53 The song that got me into the most trouble 5:32 The song I've fallen out of love with 6:31 The one with the most pretentious lyric 6:46 The lyric I'm most proud of 7:11
I almost feel like he's just fiction, this can't be real someone must write the lines he speaks... like NOBODY CAN BE THIS PERFECT AT BEEING JUST THEMSELVES and not what everybody else is just into at the moment, you know? I can't really explain he's so amazing and inspiring and everything... HOW? I will see the 1975 in concert in february and seriously I don't know if I will be able to survive damn!

I wonder if you look back on this comment and cringe beyond belief
omg The Sound would have been so different if 1D had got it. Lyrically, it's not their style AT ALL. And a lot of directioners would've gone crazy over the line "I thought that you were straight, now I'm wondering" lol

I wonder what the song was that sounded like the 1975?!
These are some of the best questions though, like usually a lot of people don't ask good questions and I really appreciate the range of questions you have here!
I love his simplicity, and how he answers all the questions so smoothly; I love the way that he's so intelligent and so kind no matter what. He's fucking matty healy, one of my favorite humans in the world, even if we don't know each other 🤘🏼

this compared to 2019. he looks so healthy now. i’m so happy for him.
the 1975 are incredible. they bring out feelings in me that nothing else can.
Im in love with the way Matty just talks and lives, but everything he does looks so brutally beautiful. He is just so honest and forthright. Without making it weird, he just is himself in the most unique and unexplainable way. It's fascinating.
He's so fucking humble and such a sweetheart, ughhh
matty healy is fucking art
I love the way he does his own thing and at the same time he can connect so much with us, the fans... i mean he is a genuine as he can be Idk he is an angel
He has such a strong Manchester accent in this interview haha
I'm not saying I'm Matty but I knew all of his answers lmaooo
I get so protective when people call Matty a wanker or full of his self cause when you really listen to what he says and what his lyrics mean you realise he's nothing like that perception they've all created for him. He's such a lovely person and what he has to say means so much to me and me and so many other people connect to it so much. Totally agree with the whole if I believe you thing, has to be one of my favourite parts of the show!!
listening to him talk is so therapeudic lol
Lol the fact that he said this must be my dream because it's so hard to sing but he sounds amazing singing it makes me appreciate his humbleness
i love him. his smile, his honesty, his humor, his bluntness. he’s a really special human.
he's so down to earth and honest; god I love him
OK, the fact that Matty mentioned The Blue Nile in this interview makes me love & respect him even more. The Blue Nile were one of the first bands I started listening to way back when & I love them!
this actually makes me really sad. i love the 1975 and Matty. This is high key sad tho idk why

Sick questions and interview
IT HASNT EVEN BEEN A MINUTE INTO THE INTERVIEW AND HE ALREADY GAVE ME GOOSEBUMPS
hes such a great guy, he truly tries to help others and isnt just a typical artist that will nod everything off in interviews and act too highly of themselves. You can tell he truly cares.
I love this interview!!❤
This is one of my fave interviews ever
i hope we get another one of these for notes! this may be my favorite interview of matty ever
This interview is gold, this is so beautiful
this is my favourite interview ever
This is one of the best matty interviews I’ve ever seen. Good job!
wow this is one of my favourite interviews! really great to see more into the album!
Any interview he does is always just amazing.
what a stellar interview
This was so well done it makes me very happy.
omg i loved this interview has me all smiles. it makes me feel like im in the room with him. just laughing and commenting back
This interview made my day
Matty for president
i'm in love with this interview
this was so well done visually and the questions were really interesting. loved it
"I don't care unless I'm like figuring something out, there's no point" This is exactly why I love him and the band altogether. This is music. This is real.
Honestly the best interview
Watching this interview, I just want my favorite band to come back with something fresh. I miss The 1975 deeply.
This is my favorite thing ever
this has the be the best interview ive ever seen of him
he’s so precious i love u matthew you have a beautiful soul you need to be protected at all costs i love you
I love Matty tooo much! Saw the guys today actually
The Sound is actually my all time favourite song, I'm so thankful they kept it because it has brought me through so much.
This is beautiful
And he does make art. Thank you very much.
i love his voice so much
So glad I got the pleasure of seeing them live. Matty is amazing live you can see all the emotions he is talking about here.
this is a really good interview my dudes
real.....so absolutely candid and free... love your old soul... stay the way you...and keeping it real!!! The 1975 has created something incredibly positivitive ,both with their interveiws and secondly by their music. Matty you guys rock for everything you have done...and yet all the things you are going to be doing!!! love ya
I was at the second Chicago show I'm glad that this interview was in Chicago it's a magical place
favorite person in the whole entire world..., fell out of touch with his interviews because he is so talked about now and it felt weird to process that for a while, but he hasn't changed one bit, so intellectually blunt yet very youthful and humble, a treasure to this world really
I love this man and his mind
i love this man
Ahhhh I have so much love for this album
hearing him talk about the importanance of If I Belive you is so amazing to me because I love that song with every peice of my heart
this was a good 8 minutes. thank you nme. matty is like a full on irony- someone who's so real but also like a dream
The more I see & hear about the 1975, the more interesting they all get. They all seem like really cool people to just hang out & chill with. I would love to see them live!
A legend. A REAL musician. He always has such well thought out answers.
I am french and I understand english, but when Matty speaks I have to concentrate because of his accent, so english subtitles would be cool :)

Seriously, this band, this man, gave me one of the most beautiful experience at a concert. They are such good musicians. I really love the 1975 music and the things that their songs make me feel.

Wow, this interview's so good that I don't want him to stop talking.
really good interview
How can he be so perfect?!?!
Such a nice interview
i love how much of a unique perspective he has, i think he's got a good head on 'em.
he has the exact same attitude to songwriting as me. I just wish I could make songs that create happiness out of the bad like him rather than depressing stuff. I am trying, the 1975 has definitely helped me in that way
love this
He's a masterpiece. Truly art.
this is great
wow im so in love with him
i cant believe i just saw this.... but regardless, makes me love u even more
he has such sad eyes like Tyler Joseph. I love his voice and his accent and his lyrics and his band's music. This album is incredible.
this must be my dream is literally my favorite the 1975 song of all time
