Tack! As simple as that: thank you for years, decades of wonderful music. After 20 years, every time I listen to Mattias or Freak Kitchen I feel a little better (as a human being, as a "guitar player" I feel the need to hide in the darkness in awe 😆). And that lead tone, I love that tone 🤤

What I love about this KZread channel is that Mattias is important enough to be revered by the whole guitar community as one of the world's best, yet he's independent enough that he manages and responds to his own social media still! Hope you come to London more than once Mattias! 2006 was a long time ago.

Not sure if this will help, but I have a tip for anyone who's having issues with "feeling" the X-tuplet groupings; I practiced by just slapping my knees with both hands, and accenting the odd beats (for example; ONE-two-THREE-four-FIVE-ONE-two-THREE-four-FIVE for quintuplets) - it still takes some time to get it down, but it made me better at doing different kinds of tuplets!

Not sure where you draw the line for what classifies as an ambient guitar song, but check out "Time to Breathe" from Freak Guitar, "Father" + "The Woman in Seat 27A" from Freak Guitar - The Road Less Traveled, "The Swede and the Wolf" + "Larvatus Prodeo" + "Lullaby for Gabriel" + "Captain Smith's Moment of Truth" + "Guano Afternoon" from Freak Guitar - The Smorgasbord, "The New Part" from Freak Kitchen - Appetizer, "Lisa" from Freak Kitchen - Spanking Hour, "Breathe" from Freak Kitchen - Organic, "Hide" from Freak Kitchen - Cooking with Pagans.

great work on all your riffs and solos. I like the true temperament guitar tone it has a nice vibrato pitch. If you interested in tyring 1 of my patented vertical scallops i'll send you 1 to demo for fun. It does limit full traditional bends yet you can do partial on some strings or just use it as a backup guitar for power chord riffs or sound fx overdubs. Really fun style. I'm curious if you have any videos of you doing them on the high E string? Hendrix carved fretnotches with sand paper as told by Seymour Duncan in an interview which he used to get a scratchy tone on the Foxy Lady intro. It has function yet many are very against change or new ideas. Even 7 string guitras weren't even popular and Steve Vai almost discontinued them before Korn made them famous. You just gotta be open minded and see the added fucntionality for creating new rhythms as the edge of the fretcorner will pluck the string to add extra notes to pulloffs, and create infinite vibrato sustain. Also, I patented and created a new tool to even make these grooves as accurate or size them as skinny as I do for better performance. I'll do this forever. I'm not giving up because it wasn't the cool trendy thing right away. Every style of guitar that we take for granted as 1 point was never invented or wasn't popular at 1st. Thanks for reading! keep shredding and innovating! Every style of guitar builds new skills and has value.
