You don't need to be right or left to see through the BS academic rethoric or JP. Coating hate under "but actually if you think about how Plato described X, Y and Z" bla bla bla a loooooot of actual scientists and researchers i know find him to be just another "pute à click" (a french word to say he'd do anything for attention on the internet). None of his "self help" is actually based on philosophy or psychology (from what i know in my field of research). Also, critical thinking isn't a term you can use for people who just agree with you. What i just did right there is critical thinking. These celebrities (such as JP) who call themselves "critical thinkers" should always be taken with a grain of salt. Especially when it's just to have no legitimate argument (he has a good rhetoric but no argument, especially when it comes to ethics) and say things that could harm a lot the "free speech" he's defending.

@@kwave5426 I might be boring but at least I don't try to coat my boringness into hate speech. And I actually use arguments that are based on moral principles that I've studied. If you want to have an actual academic argument about ethics then start by talking dignity and autonomy that are actual notions of ethics. Then maybe we can talk. Until then do you research and stop listening to Daddy Peterson for once and think for yourself. Or read Kant I don't know. Do whatever you want. But his philosophy is wrong on so many levels and everyone in the academic world knows it. And no he's not a black sheep or whatever expression is used here. He's not "speaking the truth that everyone is too afraid to talk about". 12 rules to know how to wipe yo ass isn't philosophy or psychology.

Absolutely love Matthew McConaughey. His evolution as an actor from basic Rom Com Heart Throb to a best actor Oscar winner is truly phenomenal. He is so genuine, down to earth, funny, endearing and charismatic. I really like Russell Howard and think he is very funny but also raises socially important issues true to himself, takes no prisoners but above all a genuine nice guy. But to see McConaughey having no ego, appreciative of Russell’s compliments and equally replies in kind but then sit down like too mates and have such an entertaining, informative and enlightening interview is very rare. Kudos to both.
