When Matt is waaaaay ahead, he lets his opponents answer a few, Matt's a nice guy.

How do you know that
I like how Matt answered with "38th Parallel Bars" and his score was $38,000 for getting that correct.

This was from Matt Amodio’s last full week that he swept, before “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” made his struggle, Jonathan Fisher slayed him, and Jonathan became a giant himself, by winning 11 games, like Arthur Chu, back in 2014.
Matt is a cool player and I like his sense of humor.

im shocked a guy from peculiar made it on at all! it's a tiny town for sure. i grew up nearby, gives me some solid inspiration
Dude should be a cognitive case study of the disconnect between thought and speech. Hes slow to answer when compared to other contestants, but dude knows the answers
I miss Matt. Hope he does well in the Masters compared to the TOC. From previews it shows he jokes about the buzzer having issues lol. Good luck.

I was at the tapings. There was an almost 2 months delay between the first few games to the semis/finals because of scheduling conflict of one contestant, multiple tapings were postponed. The games were fantastic. Matt’s ok 👍. Keep watching.

@@user-yu4xq9xy3d yeah he seemed to be getting in his groove last night. Right at the end. Besides James he has been the longest one away from real jeopardy games. James is just a beast as last night showed and his job is literally to take people down in trivia. Cool to know that information that there was a 2 month delay, who was the one with a schedule conflict? Thanks for not spoiling the whole enchilada. Lol 👍🏻

@@user-yu4xq9xy3d I don't like the 2 month delay in a tournament like that. That can really take players out of their rhythm, and i'm saying that regardless of the results. It just doesn't make sense for a tournament. That's cool that you were at the tapings, sounds fun. Hope you had a good time.

Now I understand why they had the delay. There were some real emergencies during the tapings unfortunately. I feel horrible for Mattea losing her father in the middle of it, so tragic.
Great video and episode
Matt is a Mass legend
This guy is a genius! First time I am seeing a full episode with him And man, that was quite the easy FJ. How did the first person not get it?
If it wasn't for James then this would have been the highest score in jeopardy history, beating Roger Craigs 77,000 I think.
Machiavelli is also a Tu Pac album. I think Matt knew that too.
What is churro? I got that one haha.
i swear this video wasn't on youtube yesterday i literally couldn't find it, but now it's here???
Thank you
Go Matt amodio
Don’t forget the one dollar 😆
He probably would’ve won more if he got that Daily Double instead of Mike

what's the point of having a genius like that i bet it's embarrassing and only fun for one person 😂😂

The other two contestants were especially bad
I love the fact that I can still see my girl mayim bialik I wrote her a 4 page letter and I'm still waiting for her to return something back to me when I heard it got to the jeopardy studio 🎙 I was shocked 😲 and very surprised and happy 😅 and I really miss her very much Amanda Miller Rockledge Florida

I feel like Matt for sure. He has admitted to been trying to follow James strategy, while also being interested in game theory and proper decisions, just like James. Matt also bet a lot during his first run. He went all in quite a bit. 83,000 would have broken Roger Craigs high game of 77,000 I think, if James had never played.

Andrew and Matt bet big. That dude amy does not.
@LickItAndStickIt

Amy was awarded a slew of garbage opponents by the producers. She isn't bad but super overrated. She got destroyed in the masters tourney by players with far fewer wins and less cash. That backs up my point that she faced so many inept opponents.

Matt is very smart
you ahould shave his head and check if he's got a chip installed in his brain. He goes from answering question about candy to 15th century classical poetic art.

I understand the issue when it's like a car or something, but when it's money, I guess you could just take it out of the lump sum payment. It's still a ton of money.
How does getting paid work in Jeopardy? E.g. Did Matt get paid 1.3 M? Did the loser get paid whatever they ended up with?
34????????????????? incredible
Yeah but like can you imagine being such a robot of a human I don't know I think I would rather be a normal person then a rich robot I got to say
Dawn of the dead is the middle title in that trilogy.

It’s a correct, though uncommon, form in North American English. Always used in the superlative (never “*He is winninger than she is”), always in the third person, always the context of competitve rankings.

That's part of his strategy. Always answers with "what's" since the rules allow any phrase that has the answer in it. This possibly increases his reaction time.
@askylibrarianoftheoceans4102
Жыл бұрын
@@angry_moose94 Adding on to this - when the rules say "any phrase" they mean ANY phrase - you could say "is it blank?" and it would be acceptable Plus, if the response was already in the form of a question, you don't need to add anything; if the correct response was "what's up, doc?", for example, you don't need to say "what is 'what's up, doc?'"
@TakaComics
11 ай бұрын
@@askylibrarianoftheoceans4102 I think the rules say you have to use a question word, and in the case of "What's up, doc," you do have to say the question phrase before the full phrase, because it's like someone asking about what it is. "Hey, what's up doc?" is very different from "Hey, what is 'what's up doc?'"
@TakaComics
11 ай бұрын
@@angry_moose94 It also reduces some stress. Sometimes you are still thinking about the answer while buzzing in, and say "what is..." without thinking. I think the rules are meant to deal with this situation and just test the trivia, rather than being too specific about the way they are answering.
