After the semifinal debacle of Michel Bourez being robbed I had to see who exactly these judges were. The criteria sounds firm, highest/lowest being eliminated and averaging the rest. I wondered are there an exorbitant number of Australian judges or some with a conflicting interest. Good luck finding the names of the judges. I couldn't after a ten minute search but I did come across an article talking about their anonymity. What other sport has anonymous judges and referees?

Pls note, I am not a Wilko hater, but neither am I a fan. Is he a good surfer? Way better than I could ever be, that's for sure! But, that being said, the question remains, how in the hell did he get past the semi-final? It seems rather noticeable that certain surfers appear to be slightly favoured when it comes to critical decisions and obtaining scores in the "dying moments" of a heat. It seems to be a trend, (note: just my opinion, based on observing the WSL comps for many years), that if Wilko is in a heat of consequence, (i.e quarter final and further), he generally gets the score, no matter what he does, and whoever he happens to be competing with, is ever so slightly underscored. Not enough that it is blatant, but enough to be noticeable and debatable. Leaves a bit of a bad taste in the mouth when even the interviewer and the commentators remarked on it (Michel Bourez interview post semi-final). Anyway, my 2 cents done.

idk bout you guys but that south african chick was providing some shat, get some people who know whats going on to commentate, on one of wilkos waves there was one turn and a little cover up, which gets her real excited and makes her think he did multiple carves, 10:04 idk maybe im watching the wrong stream get some guest commentators or something idk maybe im just getting old
