The arrogance and condescension is starting to get to me. I appreciate his success and confidence but he’s gotten to a place of comfort and seems to care less about the fine folks who drop their money on his business. I get it, I’m a business owner too. But you have to remain humble and thankful.

I’m not sure what to say about that. I find customer reviews by people that aren’t subject matter experts to be useless and steer people incorrectly. Saying what is so is just that, nothing else.

@@crcarta I work hard for my money so read reviews. I want to know if something is going to fall apart. The world is filled with all types of people... some people enjoy leaving reviews in their spare time.

Im with Matt on this one. Majority of the time the reviews lack any useful information that I can’t just find in a video. Or it’s a gripe about bad luck. Or someone raves about how good something was and then it’s garbage.

I'm sure you have your fanboys but the rest of us plebs and mouth breathers know these videos are nothing more than commericials. We know that we are simply a means to your end. I find that customer reviews on places like Amazon are generally one of two things. Angry people where something bad happened or people that feel the need to justify their purchase. There is almost no nuanced, expert driven experience that is subjective to the product. I have zero interest adding that to my website.

Wrong anytime you get ready to buy new item. You always check reviews and look up review videos. It’s called making sure you’re getting a good. Product I’m gonna buy something I’m gonna make sure the reviews are talking highly about it. I’m gonna be watching videos. Explaining in detail about it

While i get your comment, the reason reviews on his shop doesn't make sense, is because he makes sure you get quality stuff, you don't need a second opinion on his choice of favorite brands to sell. The thing you are mentioning morely suites to sellers who actually don't really know what they are selling. So again, i get your point, just not in his case at all!

I don’t agree completely. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on your store and generally speaking, I really enjoy your content. That said, I lost a bit of confidence in your recommendations when you admitted that a product in your process wasn’t the best as you always tout. You only admitted this because you were finally able to resell the best product for that specific use, according to you anyway. Reminds me of Pan the Organizer only reviewing what is profitable for him. Suppressing reviews could be viewed as silencing truthful reviews. You also assume your customers are too stupid to sift through reviews and make an educated buying decision. I guess that’s why you kindly refer to us as idiots. All that to say there’s probably a better way to explain why you don’t enable reviews.

That is completely backwards. I assume people aren't stupid, as only stupid people would rely on reviews or other people that aren't qualified to review something. I don't know what you are talking about not using the best product. The only instance I can think of is P&S Interior Cleaner vs. Griot's. P&S is pretty darn good, and there are many things I like about it more.

Matt has already done the reviews, that’s why he has the product! He’s vetted it already! The only review anyone would leave would “Matt was right!”

So he is calling his customer idiots? I will buy my crap elsewhere.

@@xYuriTardidx leg work meaning vetting the products he sells. He’s not just putting crap on his site because they appeal to the masses and will sell. Having an open mind is trying or going for the next best because some things are out of my reach ie power washers and high end polishers..

@@xYuriTardidx that’s true and there and tons of other purveyors out there that have reviews. I get where Matt is coming from about reviews. I’m in the restaurant industry where one baseless review can damage the entire establishment. They don’t even have to necessarily visit the establishment and still leave a bad review because they got bored. What’s the point in that? Products being sold in OG, due to the vetting process, can stand on their own without needing feedback from the consumers.

Think about how much crap he was getting when he first started selling his bucket package. A high percentage, if not all, wouldn’t have bought them anyway. They just didn’t like the price point. Those who purchased understand. No reviews necessary.

I can appreciate this sentiment. I think it gets a bit murky though when the person pushing the product is paid for his review but also doesn’t allow others to review. It’s a bit shady. But yes, if you’re on a website that’s already done the reviews- generally what Matt built his brand on imo- why then would he offer up an option for consumer reviews. Buyers on his sight are buying because he did the extensive leg work. Makes sense to not allow reviews 💯🤝🏾

I think people don’t understand that Matt only sells products that he has tested for a lot of hours and think are worth it. He is not a re-seller that sells everying that a brand makes. Example: He likes Bead Maker but hates dream maker so he doesn’t sell dream maker. You don’t need a review because what he is selling it’s already reviews by him. If you don’t think he is right, easy, don’t buy from him.

Reviews help improve product development and product consistency. “Bad luck” isn’t bad luck if more then 50people had issues. Good and bad reviews. Are good reviews. Gotta get off that golden chair your sitting in before it gets taken away my friend. You’re not the only expert in the field. And everyone around you is laughing only because you pay them.
