He is so damn impressively intelligent, sharp, sweet, and real... That's why he resonates so well with almost everyone. Super quick wit, incredible timing, and he's literally the scrawny kid that lived next door that we all giggled at, and turned into a prince while we're still pushing 9-5. His grandfather has to be up there watching him, smiling and still punching holes waist high in plaster walls... Keep it coming Matt, we all need the laughs!

I just adore Matt. His hard work and dedication isn't something a lot of people have anymore. I laugh so hard when I watch his specials and the clips of his crowd work are so good. As a mama of an autistic kid I thought the joke with the other ASD mom was hilarious. My sister and I joke about my son all the time in a dark humor way. I would lay down my life for my son, but damn being an ASD mom is hard and I need to laugh at the hand I've been dealt or I'll cry. I appreciate Matt not being afraid of that! Hearing him talk about his grandpa brought tears to my eyes. It's obvious he's so proud to be his grandson and also still so tremendously hurt by his loss. Just want to give him a hug.😢

Hearing Matt talking about his relationship with his grandfather really made my heart happy. I am so beyond happy that you were blessed to be a part of his death journey even if it was short. It really hit home for me, a week before my birthday my great grandmother passed away. I had felt guilty for not visiting more often because I was states away at college with no car or money for a flight. So I got to talk to her in hospice but she was practically passed at that point. Now my great grandfather; someone who taught me a lot of what I know and has blessed me with my work ethic and my humor - has dementia and doesn't even remember that I am his great grandchild, he doesn't remember that he wrote my growth chart, he doesn't remember that his wife is dead, and even though it breaks my heart for him to ask me how I met my own mother I can't stress enough how much I appreciate I can still have a conversation with the greatest man I know. I just want to say that carrying your grandfather with you is a guarantee that he will always be with you. Cherish and live in those memories with him and he will never fade away. Much love xoxo

It's amazing what a little self confidence can do to a life, he's absolutely bloomed, and again, he's a funny, funny man and I'm excited about hearing what he's got to say about life, going forward. Good on ya Matt, stroll on...

Matt confirming social media is toxic crp but as an artist, is wholly needed to have a career is really honest. There is a difference between being an egotistical f boy and an artist. His interest in honing the craft is what makes the make. Having one person to believe in you is all it takes. His relationship with his grandpa shows that you can suffer loss but just that one person , who makes time for you, see's your talent and supports without doubt, it is what will push you through life. Great interview.

Adam I have never seen your podcast, I saw that it was Matt Rife and thought I would like to know more about him. I love how you interact with who you are chatting with you have this gift of making people want to talk. I'm going to check out your comedy next! It's hard for me to find someone who makes me belly laugh (like the scene from Step Brothers with the bunk beds) 😂I'm in tears every time! Not that I'm a comic critic or anything, Matt makes me laugh like that. Matt I'm sorry to say that I just found you 2weeks ago, by the algorithm of you tube. A few months ago I was scrolling and saw the title "Daughters are Mean" (or something like that) by Leanne Morgan on Dry Bar Comedy. I have an 11 year old daughter so I immediately clicked on it and was in stitches and I have been watching a lot of comedy lately, stand up anyway. So I was watching some shorts and you were there, I assume you were in Pittsburgh because I remember you talking about the cemetery being beside the children's hospital. I watched all your shorts, I watched your first hour long special Only Fans, just finished MSR last night. You make me laugh so hard, it's like watching a younger, more energetic version of my husband. He has a dark sense of humor exactly like yours. So I just wanted you to know from a 42 year old woman I know you are hilarious. I love how you work the crowd and make them feel included, I also appreciate that you take the time to not only get everyone to laugh by making them understand that it's ok to laugh at shit when it's funny, but you also explain things like when you were doing the bit about comparing trans gender and people in wheelchairs. I was dying not only because your funny as hell but because your right too many people have tight assholes they need to loosen up and laugh! Being married to a man whose sense of humor is dark, he's quick witted and very sarcastic for sure has it's advantages you guys make life a lot of fun and funnier!! I'm sorry for your loss of your Papaw, I know that feeling better than anyone. I have ADHD and one of the things is I don't have any concept of time. Let me explain: what happened 20+ years ago feels like yesterday especially things like death of close family. Or I can't judge how long something will take me very well. I was very close to my Grandfather too, my Papap. Every weekend, every holiday break, every summer that's where I was. We would lay on the couch and watch TV shows or movies. He would tell me stories about the war, and what he did. Now I love history and I love learning about WW2 . The pain will go away, it did for me but I never stop missing him or thinking about him. You definitely should take some time to grieve, so that it doesn't fester and come out in a way that you don't intend it to and so you don't get stuck. Always stay true to who you are don't let fame dull your shine or make you a douche bag. You genuinely are a nice guy. I can not wait to be able to see you live! 🤞 You come closer to Pittsburgh, I was trying to get tickets to the show (it's on the eastern side of PA) but I think I was late to the party 😞 but I'm going to keep trying, I can not wait!!! ❤I LOTS By the way, I would be willing to take your phone calls about your exciting news, I'm great at being the encouragement too! OH, and I know your Papaw would be so freaking proud of you and be laughing hysterically at all of your jokes!
