I like Matt and he may be fantastic, but the old trio had the best dynamic between them, it's what made the show so great. Only time will tell what happens to the show with the new hosts.

Rowan Atkinson alone can (probably) make Top Gear peak again considering that he's a car guy, a comedian and also British. Gotta accept it that the trio will never be back again but Rowan Atkinson really has some potential here.

Being the fastest ever guest around the track on its own earned him the right to be one of the new presenters on the show. He has legit credibility as a driver.

I love Clarkson, Hammond and May. They are awesome. But I'm also genuinely happy for LeBlanc.

Walter Black Evans has the face for radio, as they say. Sometimes people are made or moulded for such shows, Matt would have been wasted on radio. Take a look at Matt with Emilia Clark from Games of Thrones, on the Graham Norton show, the chemistry is brilliant..

Matt is an awesome, humble dude. For that, I'm looking forward to the new show.

There's no replacing the original trio, but Matt LeBlanc is really great. I'm excited to see how well he does. I really didn't think Top Gear could recover, but this new direction seems promising.

Matt is so goodlooking and he is a laidback charmer.

You could FEEL how much he wanted to win near the end of the video ! Congrats Matt, Another proud day for car enthusiasts !

Fuck Chris Evans. He used his leverage at the BBC to brand himself even more as a car guy. LeBlanc was quite good as a host, but he needed someone who wasn’t a fucking knob to help him.

Matt seems a proper nice guy in all fairness! an actual petrol head and a top guy, it's the other hosts I'm not sure on. Good to see Joey about again doing something he's genuinely interested in

@@Luka1180 "Ah, so that's why. I did read an interview of him from 2014 or so, and the interviwer said in the article that he was smoking during the interview. Plus he did mention once that he had quit before, but apparently, that's not the case now. He did sound more like the Joey we know and love in 'Episodes', though. Thanks for replying! :)

his lap was absolutely superb, he kept close to the long curb and his grass cuts were great

When he said Porsche, I thought Matt was gonna say, "Hey! It's PORSCHE-A!" XD

I love how surreal it is to watch actors like Matt who most people know as "joey" and you have to remind yourself he's not really dumb and a part time actor living in a flat near central park. he's clever as hell and a massive petrol head. amazing driver as well and iirc in friends it never mentions he even drives except for the episode where him/rach/phoebe have to do that x long taxi drive home

Matt looks really good here !! i love the old trio, but am glad it's Matt who joined that show and not someone else !

Matt LeBlanc is probably a pretty good casting choice for Top Gear but I doubt the new hosts will have the same synergy as the old trio.

I thought Matt, Rory Reid and Chris Harris did a bloody good job! And the current three (Harris, Flintoff and McGuinness) are gelling nicely too.

The best thing about Top Gear was the British humour between the three of them who were all hilarious in their own way. No we have the un funny, annoying Chris Evans and and American. But I suppose it's a whole new start and they aren't trying to copy what was done before. We will get the same banter on the boys new show though

Matt Le Blanc is fantastic as TG host! Watch Grand Tour if you're that arsed about Clarkson, Hammond and May. It's very good as well.

Things will never be the same clearly, but im ok with Matt LeBlanc presenting TG. He clearly knows about cars and i'm confident he'll bring a different vibe to the whole premise of the show... Not gonna pretend that i won't watch the new TG, but i'm looking forward to the trios new show. Amazon did a great thing giving the boys basically an unlimited budget and free reign.

Hes a really cool guy, but hes not made for top gear. Clarkson will always be the best at that.

I like Matt LeBlanc but I don't think this is going to work because the chemistry between the former presenters was amazing and uncanny and it's nearly impossible to have it again ! anyway, I will watch this new version before I decide if it's worth watching or not !

i have no opinion so take my words with a grain of salt.....however. I will say that the same thing (not great chemestry) was said about the originals on their first few episodes....thats how we humans can be some times. start in a shell, and slowly work our way out of that shell. assuming things do improve, you'll really notice the moment he begins to open addtionally, it seems to me that matt is one of those people with a funny dry sense of humor in that, he's not super *active* but has a more subdued comedic style. who knows tho, maybe it will play out well in the end. maybe not. but we can't shoot things down before we've even seen the first season!
