I remember this commercial when it came out and kept thinking, it must keep pouring after he's finished putting it on his hot dog, and it's now spilling all over the sidewalk. The commercial left me in a bit of a quandary.

Lol and...how did the ketchup spew all over the hotdog in one shot when it was coming out by the drops? And!...the edge of the building is nowhere near the sidewalk curb. The bottle neck would have to be as long as a broom stick to make that kind of a calculated drop. Not to mention the building would have to be slanted lol.

I remember this advert too and thought the same thing. Also what's he doing hanging out on a rooftop with a bottle of ketchup??

When this ad came out, I remember everyone was wondering who the cute guy in the ad was. If the internet was in 1987, this would have went viral. It's what really launched his career.

man. you know you've got an incredible commercial if people can still remember it decades later.

Ha, I remembered this commercial growing up enough to search it on KZread. I had no idea Leblanc was the guy. Matt leBlanc will always be the guy who broke Al Bundie’s record.

I like how Heinz can admit they know the issue with ketchup taking forever coming out of the bottle lll

This commercial will forever be remembered. It’s one of those regular 30 second commercials that no one will ever forget

That look Matt has on his face at the end says "I'm getting paid for this."

I could totally see Joey trying something this stupid, and leading to him having it spilled all over him. lol

Holy shit, i remember this commercial! I didn't even catch onto this guy being Matt Le Blanc until I revisited the commercial just now. They used to air this commercial ALL THE TIME in the very late '80s/very early '90s and I thought it was so cool then! Of course, I was a little kid then too so I would consider it "cool", but... damn, what a trip down memory lane!

I actually remember this ad! it was on a recorded video from my childhood of thomas the tank engine episodes and was shown during an ad break! awesome!

Can you imagine trying that same thing, and it turns out the ketchup first spills on your shoulder, and then on the sidewalk, and then once you get it on the hog dog, it keeps going after you get the amount of ketch up want?

Matt Leblanc in a Heinz Ketchup Commercial from 1987. This ad was shown well into the early 90's as well. This commercial won at the 1987 Cannes Film Festival - Gold Lion Award.

I remember this commercial when I was a kid and thinking, who the hell puts ketchup, (or is it catsup?) On their hotdog? Haha

WoW I remeber seeing this when I was 2, its funny how the celebrities you know and like played on something before they blew up

this was my fav advert growing up as a kid (born 1983) and only in about 2001 i hear my Fav Friends character was the bloody star of it! quality.

Thank goodness Heinz products comes in squeeze bottles now

I agree on that last bit. I had to order Heinz mustard from the states. Now i just got a batch of Heinz mayonaisse from the states. I started placing their tomato ketchup in glass bottles to wrid it of some of that plastic scent. Now at last they sell glass Heinz ketchup bottles here in our stores in Norway. Heinz is KING !
