Matt Jones rides the NEW Marin San Quentin 29
@MattJones developed the San Quentin hardtail from the ground up. We wanted to know his thoughts on a 29er version before put it into production, so challenged him to race the Dual and DH at the 2023 Sea Otter Classic. Check out what went down!

marin made the right choice by choosing mattjone as a rider especially for HT.matt is HT legend
That is such a great Ambassador for the sport... I'm in my mid-fifties which is really quite hard to even comprehend, but I still mountain bike quite aggressively and Matt is so well-spoken, cheerful, and enthusiastic that it makes me want to get on the bike everyday...
Matt is such a humble chill dude.
That's it. I'm buying one of those as soon as they arrive to my country! Maybe for Christmas? I'll have to make room for the box then :)
Man I wish they had a 29” when I got mine. I have a 2021 SQ2. It’s cool. But I def would rather have this thing by far
Epic vid & riding 🎉
Can I get a Hello?
Im still with 27.5 😅
Marin Hompeage is updated. San Quentin 27,5 is deleted. only 29 san quentin available. RIP 27,5 san quentin.
I haven’t been in kindergarten in a while and I’m still as smart as a kindergartner. 😂😂😂😂

Congratulations on the awesome time with the awesome bicycle obviously!
Epicccc!!!!🔥🔥🔥
Hell ya my brother. Reppin the hardtail gang!!! 💪💪💪🤙 Congrats! What a cool spot too. Had no idea they did this at Laguna Seca.
29" wheels on the SQ3! That's gonna be fun!
Awesome video!
Good video! I love my 27.5 SQ3 it’s a very unique and fun. I purposely purchased it as I was sick of my 29er and feeling like I was riding a tractor lol! I’m hoping you make the El Roy in 27.5 soon 😉
This is what I've been waiting for...a 29er SQ! 🤩
Man this awesome. Just right into with a stock bike! Matt was actually the reason I bought san quentin. Favorite bike I have ever had.
Nice win Matt
