Absolutely awesome promo. I especially love how they are justifying the empty arena storywise in making it look like Jericho has full executive clout in banning audiences until he says otherwise. I have ABSOLUTELY no faith in WWE to do it, but I have to say that AEW is doing some really strong segments right now!

Wrestling has always been a theatre until Vince decided it wasnt anymore and just wanted to entertain children to milk their parents pockets. Now a whole generation of wrestling fans who never saw the theatrical side of wrestling can look to AEW and the Indies for exactly what they never knew was missing.

I mean pro wrestling is essentially live theater. The ring is the stage, you got characters and stories, choreographed maneuvers and before the virus outbreak a live crowd. It's a incredibly athletic form of theater but theater nonetheless.

Hearing Tony try to sell this made me think of him trying to sell The Warrior and that mirror thing back in WCW

The pyro and the timing at the very end was epic.
