Go to around 3:58 when he tries to take a second sip out of the coffee pitcher; see how he stops, grabs toward his chest and says, "Whoa whoa.." It was very apparent that he was NOT well at all and shouldn't have been hosting in the first place, yet Lorne went ahead with it and everyone fell in line. He ran wild the entire week he was there. Chris was SO much better than how he was here and it's sad this was his last TV appearance.

Hard to believe this would be the final time we’d get to see Chris Farley as his iconic Matt Foley character….actually, considering how much his health has sadly deteriorated by looking at this sketch, it’s not hard to believe. Compared to how he was in his first sketch as Matt, his voice got hoarse, he was so out of breath, and he looked very out of shape. The substance abuse really took a toll on him. And yet, he still gave it his all and he was still funny as hell. I miss that talented man.

Then I went on with my day and later that evening she told me that he did indeed die that day and asked how I knew. I didn't. It was just something I thought. I have no idea why I said that. Because he was practically on death's door doing this. He died less than two months after this aired. Chris never phoned in his performances or gave less than 110%... but seeing him in this sketch made me really sad: he's so clearly struggling and giving all he can but he has next to nothing left in the tank. They should have cancelled this episode.

Whoever says Chris Farley isnt a legend doesnt know comedy. Its still one of those sad stories that were cut way too short. He had alot of potential just like many of those SNL people during that time. Alot of the best comedians started in SNL like Bill Murray, Eddy Murphy, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, Andy Samberg and even Robert Downey Jr. To some people these guys were legends and Farley was definetly one of them. He was one of a kind

Chris died a frickin' legend and people to this day talk about him. That has to amount to something. I think he brought happiness and laughter to a huge audience not just then but today. He was at the top of his game back then. It's really a shame what happened.

Everyone's talking about noticing he's poor health meanwhile he's playing a character that 300+ lbs and lives in a van down by the river. What's he supposed to be a track star?

He was in a very good shape in the earlier seasons, despite being so big. If you watch the Chippendales skit, you can see how he could dance, he had great command of his body. He was pushing 300 lbs while doing this skit, but he was much smaller in the earlier ones. The difference is obvious.

@@MICHAEL_MAY_8 He was 300lbs, wearing a suit and tie way too small and supposd to look like has been drinking a bunch of coffee and screaming and jumping around for 5 minutes straight. Idk I think Chris Farley was a legend and it was all part of the character. When do you ever see a guy that size yelling and moving around that fast?

@@VMAFIA Forget the sketch dude. If you truly know about Chris Farley, then you know how bad he looked, both mentally and physically, throughout this final SNL appearance. He died 6 weeks later. Obviously, he wasn't doing well. He couldn't even get through the opening monologue by himself: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oJymrrRxirqWgcY.html
