This made me cry how fast life goes. Now 41 and i had this CD playing in my room and dreaming. OMG happy days when i was 20 yrs old. I think my kids will never have same feeling, no instagram, no facebook, reels..just friends, party, emotions..dreams..

The world might have changed in ways that you couldn’t have imagined when you were 20. But art, fashion and music are cyclical, and the nostalgia trip, after a few good years of the 90s is now shifting into the 2000s (it’s been happening for a while for early adopters), and of course nothing will compare to the original sounds and raves, but I, a 32 year old millennial, have noticed that people younger than me, gen z, are fans of the sound of late 90s early 2000s, from trance to happy hardcore, and there are plenty of young musicians who further build on these sounds. The sound is of course evolving, and the crowds are not the same, but the kids are still experiencing all these uplifting feelings that come with this music, and they still gather for it, maybe with a slightly dimmer sense of magic and novelty, and that’s just because the world around them is a bit darker and cynical than back in the days. As any evolving music scene, some will always revisit the original sounds including authentic raves. And as some raved to this music as adults, some have experienced it as teenagers and/or kids, and some weren’t even born for it but will still be exposed to it. I remember playing a silly childish tune for my niece and she didn’t care, but the trance tune after it intrigued her and got her moving.

Age doesn't come into it.. Good taste in music does.. Good on you for getting into it. I was about 19 back in 1999-2000 when I started really getting into trance and still gives me goosebumps at 42 year's old. Every single Euphoria collection and Cream album's & Ministry of sound trance anthems etc I still have to this day. This is a particular favourite album of mine but I really love them all. Yellow and blue album's are crazy good too. x

If there was a time you could just say stop, I want to live the rest of my life in this era, I'd of said yes please.

I remember I had just moved to Burbank, CA. There was a Virgin records I’d go to every Saturday. Back then you could sample the songs with headphones at Virgin. I listened to 15 minutes and snatched it. Later on everytime we went to a rave with friends ,this would be playing at the pre party. It was like we had traveled to another dimension, by the time we all got to the rave, we’d be the hardest bangers in the warehouse.

This takes me back....early 2000s, college, partying way too much, not a care in the world. Now it's work, bills, and responsibilities. Enjoy your youth, kids. It goes by SO fast.

What an era to grow up in we didn’t have iPhones or the internet but one things for sure we had great tunes I’ve got amazing memories and still listening to these tracks today it takes you back a bit but it’s better than listening to some of the crap they play today our generation was so lucky amazing times

I bought this and took it to L.A with me in 2000 when i was 25. Played it in my hotel room and at the pool. The Americans who heard it commented that they'd never heard anything like it before, they loved it!

In 2002 when I was a college student at a university in West Texas, there was a girl in my dorm who used to play this CD religiously. First time I heard it, I was hooked. If I ever have the chance to see her again, I’d thank her for changing my life. From 1998 - 2005, Trance was absolutely amazing. If I could find a Time Machine, that’s where I’m headed.

No doubt! That has always been one of my top tunes- it kinda sucks though that you hardly ever hear the breaks section towards the end on any mixed CDs.

Time to resurrect this thread me thinks. Still being played, still being revered, still being Loved - Thank You (.)(.)

I still remember when I got this, Sunday Morning, played a pre season friendly in Sunday League football, on my way home popped into Asda, only had enough on me to buy the cassette version and being impatient, bought that. Went home, had the Sunday lunch cooked by my mum, then went upstairs, put this on and laid on my bed while waiting for my mates to come round and was blown away by how good this was. Those halcyon days will stay with and in a way haunt everyone who was there, swept up in the Euphoria, The DJs, The clubs, The Music, The Culture, We didn't know how good we had it.

Wow I miss these days. Carefree single 29 yr old in 1999 and right on it. These tunes were the benchmark and will be hard to even replicate. Bristol Liverpool London Ibiza! Clubs were out of this world.. Literally. Lockdown 2020 rediscovered 😃

Playing some BANGERS!!!! THis was a lot of my upbringing with trance/EDM! Well, later stuff. Been in to dance sing the mid 90's. Good track list!

Ibiza will never be as good as between 97 and 04 those were the best years without a shadow of a doubt so much quality music and these cds will still be getting played for the next 30 years

I’m 39, partying like animals 98-04 , sadly lost 2 of my childhood school friends ( in our twenties ) who used to bop with me ! Always nostalgia listening to the tunes when we didn’t give a F**K about anything! Music lives on forever, through me , you and lost ones !

Had this album 99, 17 yrs old, listening to Seven Cities in the garden while watching the total eclipse of the sun in Cornwall, was one of the most surreal moments of my life and one that i will never forget. Nothing will ever be as good as 90's trance.

Now it's 2021 worlds gone crazy , so glad I was out clubbing back in 99 .

Who's still listening to this album in December 2019 best year's of my life growing in in the nineties definitely the best era ever ❤🎵🎶🎵❤🎵🎶🎵

I wish i could go back for just one night in 98-99 im 51 now.This music still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up and tears to my eyes.The best era for dance music.IMHO.

I'm 35. Got addicted to this kind of music because my 4 year older brother was listening to trance whole time as we were kids. Even now we share links with good music. This music is what connects us the most.

One of the mixes I listened to the most late 90s..

This reminds me of my Dad, he was my best friend, sadly gone on to his next life. I loved him more than life itself, he loved music too xxx

Yeah my first 💊 were 12£ and were so strong couldn't take more 3 in one night I couldn't believe the experience and transformation from angry young man to become peace loving partying and enjoying life with sex dru...rocking roll person every Friday night London clubs vip rooms after club parties come back home Monday mornings still out of it dancing those are the best times of my life my favourite tunes so i wouldn't no where too start age of love game master millions of voices so on now I'm 50 and still love the music and no often but still go to parties age is just the number and life is short love to everyone

@@SheilsGaryNever did, spent 4 years in a bedsit but had the time of my life, women, travel, more women, then sold the marital home and went round the world with my 13 year old daughter, bought a superb flat, NZ 5 times, US 4 times, Oz, Hawaii, Czech, Thailand, Malta, Vietnam twice, Cambodia, Canada, Italy five times, more women, a 7 year relationship and now a ten year marriage, ex died age 55 an alchoholic and penniless, Too many people stay in loveless relationships and i should have left at least 5 years earlier. You get one shot at this life, and my daughters think the world of me and understand now. I read somewhere early on that "people dont leave a marriage because they fear never finding anyone else but by staying they guarantee it", that spurred me on in the early days..Thanks for the comment

Timeless!! Trance is not just music, it’s energy, it’s love, it’s passion, it’s drifting off to another realm of consciousness, pure escapism. Trance is a movement, if only many more could truly understand it. If they could, I believe the world would be a better place

God this brings me back. Its nostalga, but what a beautiful time in history it was driving around with this kicking on the radio. I only hope the youth of today can relate to something as personal and deep as this CD was to me.

I left school in May 1978, stated Dj’n in July the same year. I retired after 36 years in 2014, I’ve still got my music collection which is my vinyl and cds, all my imports as well. I will be 58 in May this year, I still love my music especially my dance music from the classic 70’s to the present day. I’ve met Tiësto and seen him and other Trance Dj’s including watching Armin Van Burren’s 5 hour set in Wembley SSE Arena in 2019 ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This 51yr old just heard "Gouryella" for the first time in ages. New headphones too (V-Moda LP2 fwiw), so the volume was cranked right up. They don't make tunes like that anymore.
